by Golinedairani on Tue Nov 10, 2009 08:55 AM PSTWhat you and many Iranians don't understand is we do not have to scream Death to Jomhoriye Islami and kill 10000000 of people , we can cause a shift in the IRI, we can have the Valeye Faqih removed and have a referendum of our laws.,.. we can have a change instead and have our voices heard by our elected officials..lets say you are right.. we remove the IRI what is your proposal? Please shed some light, on this who do you propose.. maybe the US has another Hamid Karzai waiting on a back burner somewhere??? Because I'm not aware of any amazing players on the scene... If you want us to demolish the IRI what do you propose we replace it with...I'm not ready to throw my country into a civil war its easy for those who have been here for the last 30 years and can dictate from a far for those in the line of fire to act on their safe haven desires..
Nope
by ex programmer craig on Mon Nov 09, 2009 10:02 AM PSTYou saw people from the green movement spreading anti american leaflets?
I saw somebody using the name "NedaSoltan" distributing regime propaganda which removed Iran's entire history of international terrorism, and blamed all of IRIs problems on the United States. It was a video on YouTube. It showed up here and was praised by the owner of this website as a "balanced" presentation.
As someone whom is active in this movement being ANTI NEO
CON is not Anti American...
But telling a "50 year" version of the history between US and Iran which blames everything on the US and doesn't even mention many of the most serious transgressions of the IRI is very much anti-American. It's also a lie.
If you are so pro american about Iran then
what the hell is Obama doing negotiating with rapists murderers and
islamic extremists... please don't tell us what we support and don't..
Many of the Iranian greens on this website have supported Obama on his stated desire to make friends with the IRI for a couple years now. Talk to them, not to me! I'm not Iranian, and I've never supported the idea that the US should talk to the IRI.
I saw what being Pro American strategy did to Iraq and Afghanistan...
and if you think we need that type of assistance in Iran you are
mistaken
That statement there confuses me. Are you claiming that people in Iraq and Afghanistan were pro-American or something?
Another thing that confuses me is the fact I don't recall telling you or any other Iranian that I wanted them to be pro-American. All I said is I can't support people who claim to be Iranian opposition but seem to be serving the IRI's interests.
na lebanon na gaza na America Janam fadeye Iran
by Golinedairani on Mon Nov 09, 2009 09:36 AM PSTYou saw people from the green movement spreading anti american leaflets? As someone whom is active in this movement being ANTI NEO CON is not Anti American, that is the only ANTI anything I can say I have seen please... expand on what you saw when you saw it and what you deem is anti american??? BTW why are you talking about another country anyway we are talking about Iran. Why do you equate wanting support from Americans as being ethical or non ethical... Iran is its own country, whose people wants whats best for Iran.. If you think our concerns are bikinis your on another planet, moskele Iran va ayandeye Iran az ein cherto perta kheyli ameegh tar ast.. and the point you are making is we have to pro american we have to be pro nothing but pro Iranian to change Iran.....If you are so pro american about Iran then what the hell is Obama doing negotiating with rapists murderers and islamic extremists... please don't tell us what we support and don't.. I saw what being Pro American strategy did to Iraq and Afghanistan... and if you think we need that type of assistance in Iran you are mistaken
Golinedairani
by ex programmer craig on Mon Nov 09, 2009 09:26 AM PSTbut people in Iran are fighting with their lives for reform, for change and in the end goal a democracy..
Listen, if you want to support those in Iran understand what we are
fighting for understand it is a long term struggle understand many will
die, understand Iran today is not anything close to what we want but
understand it is also miles apart from what is protrayed here...
You say people in Iran are fighting for democracy, but then you say the Iranians portrayed here don't represent what you are fighting for? Makes no sense. You want democracy for only certain types of Iranians? I confess I gave up on trying to support the Green Movement when I saw some people who say they are Greenies distributing anti-American propaganda for the Islamic Republic.
In addition to the Green movement not wanting support from bad Iranians, it obviously doesn't want support from Americans either. So have at it, y'all! I'll just be watching from the sidelines and hoping the good guys win. Or maybe I should hope the IRI stays on top, since that's how we get so many Iranian girls in bikinis here in Los Angeles, and I totally support Iranian girls in bikinis in Los Angeles!
Very disturbing
by Golinedairani on Mon Nov 09, 2009 08:55 AM PSTI want to say as an Iranian, who grew up in Iran, please either support us on our platform or please do whatever you want which is your business away from us.. This has nothing to do with modern day Iran the reality is we want people who understand our position and our desires to promote our message, is this what we want not what is this? Please do not mistake this with, we are against women in Bikinis thats fine, but people in Iran are fighting with their lives for reform, for change and in the end goal a democracy.. this was a litte over the top.. These things happen over long term struggle..MA ESTADEYIM TA RAYE KHODA RA PASS BEGIRIM.. NA be eina sahne bedim began tarafdar Ma astan...
Listen, if you want to support those in Iran understand what we are fighting for understand it is a long term struggle understand many will die, understand Iran today is not anything close to what we want but understand it is also miles apart from what is protrayed here... YOU CAN ACTUALLY DAMAGE THE MOVEMENT FOR REFORM IF YOU SAY THIS IS WHAT SUPPORTS IT!!
Thanks Irandokht
by ramintork on Mon Nov 09, 2009 07:59 AM PSTGood for her, her heart is with Iran, and that is what counts.
Music, writing, marching, protesting, cartoons, Bikinis and bras of good, bad, excellent quality. whatever it takes show your support and do what you can, It all counts, every penny of attention, or hundred dollar bills of publicity will acumulate and dent the global consciousness be it in LA, Tehran or Timbaktu.
“did Moosa yek shabani ra be rah”...
On the path Moses came upon a shepherd
His prayers with his God he overheard.
Where are you so your needs I can serve
Mend your shoes, your hair comb, curl & curve.
Wash your clothes, kill your lice, pick your nits
Bring you milk, while your Majesty just sits.
Kiss your lovely hands, and rub your tiny feet
When it is time to sleep, sweep your room, make it neat.
For you I will sacrifice all my goats
Thinking of you I shout and sing my notes.

by ex programmer craig on Mon Nov 09, 2009 04:34 AM PSTI really don't see how this helps the movment in anyways.
Who says it helps the movement? Or that it has to? They are just expressing their support.
What low-lives man.
lol. Judgmental much? :p
WOOOOOOOW

great!
by ex programmer craig on Mon Nov 09, 2009 03:35 AM PSTThat's real LA/Hollywood subculture! Not everyone makes it to the top! The vast majority of struggling artists/musicians/models/actresses/designers/etc never make it past the middle... or the bottom! I'm glad to see Iranians also embrace the Hollywood machine!I think half my male friends when I was in my late teens were in bands, and half my female friends weretrying to get into modelling... there's a certain charm to the lifestyle. It's a lot of fun if nothing else.
To the critics complaining the show was dedicated to Iran... would you have preferred them to be politically apathetic? Or to do what's customary in Hollywood and be apathetic while pretending to be a leftist?
American Dream,
The models were either to hefty or too thin.
Yeah they looked like pretty typical women, to me. Not so much like models. But that may have been intentional... in a bikini show it makes sense you would want people to see what they look like on real people.
The models with breast implants did not look natural.
I didn't see any implants! And I was looking closely! I didn't see any un-natural looking breasts, either! Most of them looked like B or C cups, with a few A cups. I think I saw one woman in a pink bikini who might have been a D cup, but hers looked pretty natural to me.
It was the last thing the green movement wanted.
by پیام on Mon Nov 09, 2009 02:20 AM PSTTo be supported by a bikini contest organizer. And, oh, please try to speak Persian correct and if you can't, either go learn Persian or just stick to English.
Are you feeling okay?
by Natalia Alvarado-Alvarez on Sun Nov 08, 2009 07:44 PM PSTahmad_
You have the same comment posted three times.
I didn't see any body builder on the video clips either.
well, well
by ahmad_ on Sun Nov 08, 2009 06:37 PM PSTwhat happened to my comment ? LOL
I gave a 10 for the body builder because he worked at it over a period of time to acheive such a body.
I could see why men in LA are trying to stay away from them.
LA , it really shows
by ahmad_ on Sun Nov 08, 2009 06:32 PM PSTI gave a 10 for the body builder because he worked at it over a period of time to acheive such a body.
On the other hand these women seemed to be lacking class and dignity.
I could see why men in LA are trying to stay away from them.
LOL :) Thanks you Irandokht Jan
by Setareh Cheshmakzan on Sun Nov 08, 2009 03:34 PM PSTخیلی ممنون که این همه ایرونی دارند ساپورت می کنن، می فهمن، و درک می کنن
Maryam joon, That's the least they can do if aghleshoon reach koneh. And thanks to Tala joon who "represented Iran" in this great event with her tri-color bra. They whole world from LA to TelA is showering the movement in Iran with support and offering premium quality flesh and blood!!!
Marketing strategy?
by Natalia Alvarado-Alvarez on Sun Nov 08, 2009 12:00 PM PSTBy the way women do come in all sizes and shapes. I am glad that there was an equal representation of what a women is.
If they are airing it...
by Ali P. on Sun Nov 08, 2009 12:05 PM PST...it means, SOMEBODY is watching it!
(Come on...you know who you are!)
But I don't understand why they feel the pressure to "dedicate it to Iran".
You could win a hotdog eating contest; I am sure your fellow Iranians would not be disppointed, if you didn't dedicate your championship belt to Iran :-)
Ali P.
P.S. IRANdokht: Neveshtee "Decidcated to Iran".Kelaaseh deekteh jeem boodee har hafteh haa,...ma'loomeh...
Just plain funny
by American Dream on Sun Nov 08, 2009 11:47 AM PSTIs this for real?
Are they serious?
The models were either to hefty or too thin. The models with breast implants did not look natural.
And their Persian was weak.
There was not one model that anyone could say, "Ajab che teek-ke-ee".
It was a disaster.
I wish them all the best.
Everyone deserves a chance to achieve the American dream.
and everything is sacred.
This is a free country.
by koorosh10 on Sun Nov 08, 2009 10:53 AM PSTThis is a free country. People can do any thing they want as long as they do not heart any one. You people always talk about fredom and democracy but for your own. If some body does something that you do not agree with, you start to insult them and call them names. Do not have you any shame.
Trash
by MaziarB on Sun Nov 08, 2009 10:42 AM PSTI expected no more.
what a shame
by darius on Sun Nov 08, 2009 10:41 AM PSTShame, shame

by میرزاقشمشم on Sun Nov 08, 2009 10:21 AM PSTThanks a lot for adding yet another bead to the crown of Iranian or, I should say Persian, pride.
Do you happen to know if she is related to late " Mohammad Karim Arbab"? Some business endeavours run through DNA; you know.

"resistance" Tehrangelesi style!
by Q on Sun Nov 08, 2009 09:27 AM PSTI love it! If this doesn't prove the cluelessness of the Tehrangelesi class, I'm not sure what will.
Real fighters...
by Emil on Sun Nov 08, 2009 10:27 AM PSTFinally some real Iranian fighters in LA....BTW ...such a cheesy show... we need a brake from politics I guess..
