by puss on Thu Oct 08, 2009 07:05 PM PDTnever try to silence anyone! personally I never did.
I appreciate art maybe more than you or some others. I can differentiate
art from junk very well..I wish everyone could see all Iranian women
abroad like their own sisters and mothers..! I admire brave women..
that is in my blood.
!?
by capt_ayhab on Thu Oct 08, 2009 10:39 AM PDTThis is art, what does it have to do with all the philosophical comments about Iranian women?
The artist has done an awesome job, she should be supported instead of extrapolating her work over sociopolitical issues of Iranian women.
Speaking of Iranian women, credit them for what they have accomplished, under such brutal suppression by akhunds rather than beating them down further, for the are the most resilient, accomplished and beautiful women ever walked the face of the earth. Lets be proud of our sisters and mothers.
Ms. Fosoul Bashi, well said.

by puss on Thu Oct 08, 2009 10:01 AM PDTin this world everything is related with each other if you dig into it..!
my comment was about woman with pretty faces.. and i am not going to take my comment back about heartless Iranain woman abroad.. i donot like to be more specific... it wont do anyone good.. listen to Dr. Houlakoi radio program and see what these women go through beucase of bunch of macho..
about Dadvar.. she is the one who got the point, i agree on that..
ina kian digeh!!!
by Fouzul Bashi on Thu Oct 08, 2009 09:44 AM PDTThis is the work of an artist displayed on the models faces. Why are you people generalizing? When has one of you even seen such painted faces in every day life?
So you're turned off? Jahanam!! nobody was trying to turn you on! Is art supposed to be a sexual turn on to you?
Someone else is talking about empty hearts of Iranian women abroad! What nonsense? what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?
The other one is calling Iranian people oghdeyi because of some face painting! Who's oghdeyi and bi farhang now?
Thanks Ms Dadvar for your comment, it seems the rest of the people here az howleh haleem oftadan too dig and showed their own lack of substance.
GOD please help our ingorant people get a life!
colors
by sheila.dadvar on Thu Oct 08, 2009 08:39 AM PDTart has many faces and shapes. artists express themselves in different ways. the runway attire is not for avarage people to wear on daily basis. it is to show how creative one can be with fabrics and threads and needles. the over the top make-up is not a practical, every day application, rather to show how one can use those brushes and colors to create a not-so-long-lasting art.
the canvas is those ladies faces, which would wash off at the end of the day.
and it's not only the iranian girls who wear make-up and sometimes bit too much of it. whether we approve of it or not should not change how they want to present themselves. even if that means following others' steps and being copy cats. who isn't a vicitnm of copying others' ideas? never seen anyone evolving and changing by others bashing them.

by farokh2000 on Wed Oct 07, 2009 02:34 PM PDTThey look great as long as you don't touch.
This is another way of objectifying women, no?
