by ex programmer craig on Thu Oct 29, 2009 10:40 PM PDTYes, that looks like it's most likely game software. I'm not into flight sims but that looks like fairly current 3D game graphics to me. And all it takes to re-skin something like a plane in most games is artistic talent! The skin is just a graphic image (texture) that gets applied to the model at run time.

by bahram9821 on Thu Oct 29, 2009 04:38 PM PDTThis is not a propaganda video!!!
by farrad02 on Thu Oct 29, 2009 10:17 PM PDTThose of you who are familiar with amateur animation on the web will know what this video clip is. There are people who create these aviation animation flight sequences as a hobby. And almost all of them are non-Iranian!
There are computer generated clips like this one on YouTube of airplane crashes, take-offs and landings and flybys with planes bearing the markings of almost all the airlines in the world! In fact I saw one of these animation clips of an Iran Air Airbus A300 trying to bump and damage a 747 in the sky!
Here's a similarly made video clip showing a B1 Bomber: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=blpPLbp8NBs
Therefore I am 100% certain, this 747 video was not created by Iran Air or Iranian government as propaganda!
And let's face it, no one in Iran Air's current management is smart or caring enough to think about improving the image of that old dear airline with animation clips or anything like that! If you're someone who is managing Iran Air right now, most of your time is spent in finding (and creating) well paying positions for your relatives and cronies! And the rest of your time is spent finding new ways of stealing money from the airline!

by ahmad_ on Thu Oct 29, 2009 02:16 PM PDTa beautifully done animation. I like to know which software they used.
Or maybe it can be done using a flight simulator game software.
