Takavar? Do you have any proof as basis for such a ridiculous statement? If not, please refrain from making such a charge. I hardly think the panel was bribed.

by HollyUSA on Wed Oct 21, 2009 06:42 PM PDTWould you consider it equally offensive if someone said they were a 'proud christian', 'proud Bahai', 'proud Jew' etc.??
Islamic/Arabic identity for IRANIANS!! Not ready for secularism!
by Takavar on Wed Oct 21, 2009 06:01 PM PDTShe works for IRI and is a part of IRI's system. Mullahs paid millions of dollars to European for her Nobel prize and now is her turn to do the dirty job for them and do some Khosh khedmatee. In one of her interviews Hajeehe Khanoom Ebadi said that she is a proud Shia!!!!!
She's Phenomenal
by HollyUSA on Wed Oct 21, 2009 05:41 PM PDTMore power to her.

by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Wed Oct 21, 2009 05:31 PM PDTshe has been brave, selfless, and steadfast. A true leader and an Iranian to behold with honor and pride.

Gooya news

Congratulations Dr Ebadi
by Setareh Cheshmakzan on Wed Oct 21, 2009 02:40 PM PDTDr Ebadi deserves to be recognized and honored for not only her accomplishments as a human rights advocate, but also for having to put up with the most chauvinistic, arrogant, biased, hateful men who keep presenting obstacles in her way and putting her down without having any significant accomplishment of their own, be it the mullahs in Iran or the anti-mullahs outside!
I wish they would stop patronizing and criticizing her every move and maybe even just for once, appreciate such a hard working lady for what she's accomplished for the Iranians which is much more than they would ever do with their pathetic criticism of her hejab! Get real!

double standard
by mahmoudg on Wed Oct 21, 2009 11:56 AM PDTIn their opening video, they have her painting showing her in a hejab. now is that not a double standard. The interview is non-hejab but they see it fit that at least the intro be with her hejab on. how pathetic.
