by HollyUSA on Sat Apr 24, 2010 05:58 PM PDTI agree with Fozul Bashi. Great analysis. Short, accurate and to the point. It is unfortunate that a lot of us confuse our well founded dislike of the man with what is in the interest of Iran. Over all, I thought he did well for himself and didn't see him as cornered by Mr K at all. If anything I think the reverse was true with regard to the bulk of the interview which circled around Israel.
Not_AK69 are u being funny or smoking crack or both? Give free oil to America?? I hope u're not a businessman lol
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
by American Dream on Tue Sep 29, 2009 10:16 AM PDTIt is safe to say this Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the President of Iran until 2013. After that someone else will be elected President of Iran.
One must ask, "All the roads lead to Ayat'Allah Seyed Ali Khamenei, why is Larry King having an interview with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?"
Controversy sells.
Hopefully, Larry King will visit Iran and have an interview with Ayat'Allah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

When America starts to look upon Middle Eastern nations in one light, we will begin to see the beginning of true democracy. As long as they use divide and rule policies, we will have rulers that will take either benign views if America is helping them or bullish views if otherwise.
We the people are stuck in this scoring game.
The best solution is to have a straight forward policy of supporting the people and helping them on their democratic fronts. Thus we avoid creating grounds for friends and foes mentality.

by American Dream on Sat Sep 26, 2009 10:01 PM PDTIranian President Ahmadinejad has only 4 more years as President of Iran. The Iranian Constitution limits him to 2 consecutive terms.
The United States is leaving Iraq in 1 to 2 years. They will be leaving Afghanistan in a few years after that.
Ahmadinejad may be hurting the tempoary situation of the Palestinians. The long term plan that the Palestinians have is that they over populate. They will eventually out number Isrealis in the West Bank and Jerusalem. Like Gaza, all settlements will have to be abandoned.
Let us not forget that Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin was a member of the Israeli conservative Likud Party. It was Begin who made peace with Egypt.
It was Ariel Sharon, another Likud party member, and Israeli Prime Minister that abandoned all the settlements in the Gaza Strip.
At the United Nations Natanyahoo shook hand with Palestine's Abbas. Netanyahoo will also have to make peace with HAMAS.
In the end, it will end up benefitting the Palestinians.
How does Ahmadinejad fit into the picture?
He prevents momentarily what will happen eventually.
Israel will not attack Iran without U.S. support. And the United States will not support a military strike on Iran. The United States has invested too much in Iraq to see more turmoil in the area.
Anyhow, Ahmadinejad doesn't run the show in Iran. Ayat'Allah Khamenei has the final say in all matters.

by Dariush on Sat Sep 26, 2009 09:55 PM PDTHe did very well for the most parts, specially with disrespect to Israel, France and England. Just who the hell they think they are? The era of threats and bullying has passed. They still seem to be living in their barbaric fantasy world. I thought most of Ahmadinejad's speeches come from his advisers or speechwriters, but he does well on his own. He should hold more interviews to shock some dead brains and educate the public in west. May be this way people realize how the Jews are sucking their blood systemically every then years and shifting the wealth from left to right and getting Americans killed for Zionist's plans.
Ahmadi nejad the biggest embarresment ever
by javad agha esfahani on Sat Sep 26, 2009 09:12 PM PDTAs we all know , Mr. Larry king is a jew . He interviews Ahmadinejad for a reason .
Ahmadinejad' rehtoric and vitriolic statements about the holocust , actually work in the interest of the state of Israel . It gives more justification for the suppression of the palestinians and the expasnsion of the sttlements .
There are countless books written about Ahmadinejad and his threat to the jews and his animosity towards Israel . Some christian right wing organizations are taking advantage of all his non sensical statements . They are actualy collecting donations from the American public in order to further empower israel and continue more settlement expansion in the West bank and east Jerusalem . It would not be an exageration to state that
Ahamadinejad is Aghaye haloo" in position of authority . He lacks foresight ,knowledge, diplomacy and common sense . He is bringing more financial support and more moral support for Israel . He is not helping the peace process and is definitely hurting the palestinian cause , embarressing all of us .
Interestingly when larry King asks him why the demonstrators were arrested and imprisoned , he turns into a " smart ass" and replies by asking " how many prisoners do you have in the US?" . As the Iranian expression goes " Gooz che rabty be shsghighedareh?". At least people do not end up in prisons , tortured and raped for attending demonstrations here in the united states .

Larry, Columbia University, Katie will keep on bringing in Iranian President Ahmadinejad as long as the Iranian President keeps on saying that absurd statement about the genocide of 6 million innocent Jews. There is a way out of this crazy situation.
Iranian President Ahmadinejad must:
1. Agree that 6 million innocent Jewish people died at the hands of the Germans during World War 2.
2. Stop the Iranian Nuclear Program.
3. Give America Free Oil.
4. Get rid of those silly Iranian slogans against America.
This will be a start to a process of healing.

Iran has a "judicial system"???
by Benyamin on Sat Sep 26, 2009 12:01 PM PDTThat is a news to me!
If they have investigated it, what has come out of it? what are the results? if he is sorry, then why he has never appologised to her family?
They should senction him and not interview him at all. He feels important and he feels he is the greatest.
On a diffrent subject, those americans must stay in jail. Iran is a souvern country if I cross the border from mexico to US i may even get killed by the "minute men" these guys have crossed the border with no visa and no permission. They should remain in jail.
It is funny
by yolanda on Sat Sep 26, 2009 11:53 AM PDTIt is funny and strange that AN blamed the cameraman or camerawoman for only taping the death of Neda, but not taping the killer who killed Neda, so he can't find the real killer.
Did the interview end or there are more tapes coming?
thanks,
Misses the Issue
by IB on Sat Sep 26, 2009 11:32 AM PDTThe issue isn't who is the killer of Neda. The issue is the violence used by the IRI government against so many on the streets and in prisons over a proported free election which supposidly he won. Bad interview.
BTW, the translators voice is so annoying. Who is she? Couldn't they find a male voice or at least a more pleasant, less squicky one?
The Iranian President
by American Dream on Sat Sep 26, 2009 11:14 AM PDTThe President of Iran is a loony guy. He is the representative of 70 million Iranians in Iran and the President of the Iranians in the diaspora who hold a valid Iranian passport. And that is not a joke. I wonder how many of the protesters in the events that occured after the Mousavi elections really voted in the Iranian Presidential elections. In the United States, in order to vote in the Presidential elections one would have to have either a valid identity pamphlet called a Shenasnameh or a valid Iranian passport called a gozarnameh. No one else is permitted to vote. There should be a survey to find out who really voted in the diaspora. If the Iranian government would present this information one could know who voted and how many voted. An educated guess would conclude most of these people in the diaspora and inside Iran didn't even vote.
And as the saying goes, If you didn't vote, you have no right to complain.
