All of this vitriolic tripe he spews about the monarchy leads me to believe that he or a family member worked for the monarchy in some capacity and when it fell, his socio-economic status took a beating similar to the beatings Mike Tyson gave his opponents early in his career.

A quick google search of the origins of this song detail that it was a song written by the Iranian Communist Party with the plan to overthrow the Iranian monarchy forever.  

It is interesting that the singer says that Iran before the revolution was a horrible dictatorship.

The singer specifically says, 40 years ago we sang this song.
