Education Minister sets up committee to eliminate kings from textbooks

BBC: وزیرآموزش و پروزش ایران، از تشکیل گروهی برای بررسی حذف تاریخ پادشاهی از کتابهای مدارس خبرداده است. حمید رضا حاج بابایی، گفته این گروه مشغول کار است اما هنوز نتیجه ای اعلام نشده است. کتابهای تاریخ در نظام آموزشی ایران، واینکه چه بخشهایی از تاریخ باید مطرح و براساس چه منابعی تنظیم شود، همیشه محل اختلاف بوده است. فرزاد کاظم زاده گزارش می دهد.

Washington - A small group of Iranian performers has been traveling the United States for nearly two weeks, speaking little and hearing less but learning and teaching their craft.

The performers are deaf or hearing-impaired members of the Mehr-Ayeen troupe from Tehran. And in performances adapted from the Persian epic The Shahnameh, they brought a piece of their cultural heritage to American stages.

I've noticed a lot of recycled news in the mainstream media, anti-Iran news sources, and then relayed again here at IC.

It seems with the ever diminishing relevancy of the GM, this is one of the only ways possible to maintain anti-Iranianism.

Not that I'm pro-revisionist when it comes to history. But rather, it's getting tiresome enduring repetitious or recycled news stories whose intent it is to negatively portray Iran to a largely external audience.

But then, I guess anti-Iran cheerleading is really attractive here.

its about deleting the Persian elements in our history

the Islamic Sultanate literally thinks that our 5000 year old history can be revised over night by altering elementary level textbooks. This makes me wonder about the qualifications of the Minister of Uneducation...
