Though using canned percussion works against musicality. What you gain in rhythm accent isn't worth what you lose in expressiveness. For example between 2:00 and 2:36 there is a mood change in the melody which the musician feels well, judging by the even more introverted facial expressions. Yet the percussion remains unresponsive to this change, failing this talented performer during a critical passage.
