by Jahanshah Javid on Wed Dec 08, 2010 11:28 AM PSTYou guys are terrific. You have touched on an important issue and exposed a terrible weakness in our attitude towards race.
Keep it up! Looking forward to more.
A funny and bitter truth
by statira on Wed Dec 08, 2010 10:28 AM PSTAbout all Iranians who make jokes about other people(Turk, Lur and Arab). I have to say most of us dont have any hard feeling about Lur and Turks( we actually love them). We also love Iranian arabs but not our arab neigbors. Iranian arabs are the most Persianized Iranians. They were in our land long before the Arab invasion.

by masoudA on Wed Dec 08, 2010 10:03 AM PSTGreat post buddy - I agree with all you said. I would say this though - antio nationalistic sentiments is the basic core of all leftist idealogies. I also repeat - us Persians are on defense - aginst a genocidical assault on our culture - the assault that has already been successful in Egypt, Lebanon, Syria,......
Comrade - I see all you are interested is to find faults and defaults with my statements - and when you don't find them you create them - just like the good comrad that you are.
"Inferior Arab Culture"
by comrade on Wed Dec 08, 2010 09:51 AM PSTWell, You used the phrase: "inferior Arabs", and now we have moved to the subject of "inferior culture", which is equally wrong. Cultures differ, horizontally. There is no higher or lower culture. I am still watching the ominous political agenda which is incessantly trying to deepen the rift between Iran and her neighbors.

by Anonymous Observer on Wed Dec 08, 2010 09:31 AM PSTThese days Iranian bashing has become fashionable among the leftist, pseudo- ANtellectual, "citizen of the world", IRI spawned, self loathing, inferiority complex suffering, so called Iranians. That's the real problem.
Compared to Arab racism, Iranians, on the scale of 1-10, are probably a 2, the Arabs being a 9. Trust me, I lived among Arabs for a long time. Look at their citizenship laws, which is entirely "blood line" (i.e., race) based. Look at their racial genocide in Darfur. They're even racist against one another. And their sense of superiority against Iranians is so outrageous that they can't even stand the name of the Persian Gulf because it has the word "Persian" in it. Can you just imagine if it was called Arabian Gulf and we were the ones trying to change it to Persian Gulf (not that we ever have the balls under the IR to do such a nationalistic thing)? Can you just imagine the endless accusation of racism on this site alone by the usual "citizens of the world?"
it's good to break taboos
by hamsade ghadimi on Wed Dec 08, 2010 09:25 AM PSTit's good to break taboos and these guys have a great topic to work with. they just need to polish their work and stop repeating themselves. their "show" has great potential. they should cut down on the loosbazi and increase substance.
Not Racial at all
by Cost-of-Progress on Wed Dec 08, 2010 09:19 AM PSTGenerally speaking the Persian reference (or Purrrrrrsian as anonynmouse puts it) is an attempt to separate us from our arab neighbors. I don't know one Eronian who would like being mistaken for arab. Not saying there is none, I just don't know any! May be you do.
This is not an endictment of arabs (we're beyond that now, way beyond), but a reality with which most of us EEEronians deal with.
We have a lot of flaws, a lot. But before you condemn and lable us wholesale biggots, take a look at other countries and cultures and their practices with true racism and their superiority complex throughout ages.
We EEronians are full of hot air...and that's that.
Having said all this, being an a-rab these days ain't so bad. Saudi's, Omani's and UAE's actually are very satisfied with their countries and where they live....Saudis.....how do you like them apples?

Tasteless!
by Souri on Wed Dec 08, 2010 09:19 AM PSTThe pleasantries are very tasteless and degrading to all Iranians.
Ridiculing one school of thoughts is nothing fruitful for the nation. We have to learn to oppose the ideas which we consider as wrong, by civil debate and articulated reasoning. This kind of mocking and ridiculing "other thinkers" is the worse habit of the Iranians which has always blocked our road to the progress.
Sorry this was not interesting at all!
The good behavior of the people, warms our heart and make us thankful..... And the bad ones, just make us to recognize and appreciate the good ones!
this was great if we were not quick to judge in the first 2 min.
by Bavafa on Wed Dec 08, 2010 09:01 AM PSTAnd for us PERSIANS, only if we had the audacity to look in the mirror and judge ourselves with the same eye as we do others. Only if we could get ourselves out of 2500 or 1400 years ago and look to see where/what we are TODAY and where the world is TODAY. Only if we could stop living in the past and come to the present.

Inferior Arab Culture
by masoudA on Wed Dec 08, 2010 08:44 AM PSTComrad - as I said there are no inferior races only inferior cultures.
I would define culture as: Way of Life. In 1948 after WW2 the whole world got together and tried to devise some basic rules under which they could live by peacefuly. They devised the 30 articles of human rights and created the UN. Gues which country was the first to oppose it - Yes Saudi Arabia - because the articles were against their Way of Life. I don't know what you call a culture that does not endorse equality of all races, genders, faiths,etc.... but I call it inferior.
BTW - here is a lesson in hiostory too -
Forget all the Bs you have read about the Arian race and how it moves to the Persian Platteu....... Civilization as we know it was created in that area long long befor Arians supposedly moved in. People have been migrating out of the plateau not moving in.....Bulgarians, Irish, French, Croatians,.....all take pride on their Persian roots.
Be nice to Arabs! Trust me.
by Dirty Angel on Wed Dec 08, 2010 08:33 AM PSTgetting camel spit out of one's divine Persian hair crown, is not particulary pleasant. It's positively Persian pfffting.

Inferior Arabs
by comrade on Wed Dec 08, 2010 08:23 AM PSTI asked you to define culture. will you? There is no such thing as a peaceful Aryan race, and inferior Arabs. A political agenda which interjects the subject of petrodollar's buying power into a discussion abut two distinct, and not necessarily contradictory, cultures is lopsided and corrupt.

Comrade
by masoudA on Wed Dec 08, 2010 08:07 AM PSTGood deal - I don't have too much xtra time either - but here it goes.
First and foremost it is important to note that cultures need time to evolve. Time is not the only factor but it is one of the most important factors. A good example to illustrate the importance of time in cultural advancement is creation of language. Historical references suggest when people in Persia started agriculture they already had devised a language - meanwhile it took centuries for the premitive tribes around the Persian Peninsula to devise a language. So you can see why some cultures are less evolved. There are no superior races but there certainly are inferior cultures - some still have trouble with basic human rights.
In the Middle east there are two dominant cultures - Ours and the Arab culture. They are in full contrast - one pushes for life - the other pushes for after-life. One preaches Joy, peace and Love - the other, mourning and aggression - one pushes for science, the other is all about superstitions.......
Our culture was of-course instrumental in how the western world progressed and evolved - it was the cornerstone of how America was set-up (check out the book Cyropaedia by the Greek historian Xenephon and it's impact on Tom Jefferson and the rest of Americas founding fathers). It is important to know that there are no superior races - just superior cultures and how they are evolved. The problem is that nowadays the inferior Arabs have found a way to push their way upon the us and the rest of the world and they are having some success because of their Oil money. Uncapable of science and civil advancements, and instead of advancing themeselves, the inferior Arabs have tried to STEAL achievements of others and even worst have tried to tarnsih other cultures in the name of ISlam.

Not sure if at this critical point in our history...
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Wed Dec 08, 2010 07:42 AM PSTThe fascination and pre occupation of a small minority of Iranians with their percieved Aryan past is either a major cause for concern or an excuse to de focus from the main task of opposing islamist regime by means of forming a united Front of all Iranians with diverse set of ideologies.

by masoudA on Wed Dec 08, 2010 06:41 AM PSTWhat people like you miss is the fact that our culture is under attack - has been for 1400 years. The reason people like me insist on Persian this and Persian that (as you put it) is because unlike you we want to preserve the Culture - A culture that will no doubt help bring back sanity to a world gone mad by materiialists such as yourself.
