Ashkan Sohrabi

Relatives gather at his grave to celebrate his birthday

Iranbodycount.blogspot.com: Ashkan Sohrabi was a 18 years old student who was killed in Tehran by Basij forces, on Saturday (June 20), in the vicinity of his parent's home. According to his sister, he was talented in school and in sports. He was a caring, compassionate and fun boy. He wanted to keep all happy, and despite his youth he made wise decisions. He had a black belt in Taekwondo, with a few medals under his belt. He came home and told his family that the neighborhood was under riot! He just went out to see what was going on. Two hours later, his friends called that he was shot and transfered to "Rasool-e Akram" hospital. He has three shots in the chest. He had died immediately >>>

I agree with Phantom & Hakeem !

Shah was very self centered about his ambitions & what  is happening today to Iranians is result of not having  free political parties & his authoritarian policy.

Try to be Logical

by Hakeem on

With due respect to ALL bloggers of IC. One of the main backdraw of most of the Iranians is that they are more sentimental than logical. It would always be reasonable to argue with facts and figures and not just discussing in general. I agree with Phantom that the late Shah is the prime responsible for most of the miseries Iranians face today. I do not remember the exact dates but regarding the events, these are as below: Reza Shah had the chance to turn Iran a democratic state but he did not act with persevearance. During premiership of Dr. Mossadeq, he tried his best to make a state resembling that of England. Keeping monarchy as well as the constitutional democracy. That was the brightest opportunity in the contemperory Iranian history to become a South Korea or Singapore. But Shah and his sister, Ashraf wasted it. They became a part of a nasty coup d'etat and broght down the democratic and the elected government. After that Shah had 35 years to make an establishment. He did not. During the revolution of 1979, there were no signs of Khomeni or Mazhabioun even till Azar'57 But Shah again lost the opportunity and remained obstinate. This led to his flee(2nd time) and chaos which led to the supermacy of the most brutal faction which were Mazhabioun. To discuss Shia Clergy is futile as the very notion of Shiaism is baseless. We could not expect a miracle from a Sadist. Shah missed a few golden opportunities. Now this is a golden opportunity for Us, EU and BRIC. They ALL need energy and raw materials. Iran is full of them. They cannot afford to miss this golden opportunity. disintegrating Iran into 3 or 4 regions and ch of them preying on them. The disintegration of the region had been started with the intrusion of the Red Army into Afghanistan. The nest was Iranian Revolution. The next invasion of Iraq. Now is Iran's turn. Every one would be benefited. Turkey, Gulf States, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, let alone the Big Powers. Once Henry Kissinger said in the 70's that Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan make a Danger Belt. Subsequent events proved that this region is capable of producing, Shah, Saddam Hussain, Taliban and a Pakistan with 100 nuclear war heads. It;s time for cleansing!!! I fully agree with Phantom. Shah is the main responsible of today's events.

PHANTOM Aka FAGHAN to Begin With

by Darius Kadivar on

With Due respect to the blogger who has posted this blog and I don't want to distract the readers from the subject here which is Ashkan Sohrabi and his tragic death. Roohash Shad !

But my comment is for PHANTOM Aka FAGHAN :

PHANTOM Aka FAGHAN I Am Not Your Friend and Don't Want to be Your Friend.

I have No problem Jousting with You momentarily here if I am allowed to do so by the Blogger or to be challenged by you if you happen to disagree with a statement I can make on somebody else's blog like here or on any news item posted elsewhere.

However My Problem Sir, is that I Simply Don't LIKE Your Company ! ... Period !

In otherwords Unless I am forced to do so I don't like debating with YOU or exchanging ideas with you or knowing what you like to eat or watch on Saturday Nights.

Am I being Harsh ?

I don't think there is a law or editorial policy here that imposes us to like one another is there ?

Did you like Everyone at School ? I doubt you did, and did that have anything to do with Being INTOLERANT ? What does wanting or not wanting to debate with someone have to do with whether or not one is a democrat or a dictator ? Not Everyone is Running for Office and certainly Not Me.

If YOU Are then Do SO with a Public Face and Name be it so as to be taken seriously.

You're certainly Not forced to like anybody but No one is Forced to Like YOU !

For instance Even if you claim not to hate me, Well I have news for you: I Still don't Like You !  ;0)

Nor do I don't like Your Friends with whom you contributed to ousting me for two weeks from this website last year for being rude.

Am I being Harsh Again ?

That is why I understand that There is However a not so explicit rule of behavior on this site ( and if it does not exist then I believe it should and particularly it should be applied to your likes): And That is that you are not allowed to indulge in HARASSMENT and/or Constant and Regular Provocations that could lead to hateful comments.

IN SHORT IT's CALLED CIVILITY !

I learned it the hard way myself by being banned for two weeks by JJ simply because I responded rudely and with profanity to your likes.

Something that the moderators should now learn is that there are things worse than using Profanity and that is the type of intolerant behavior you have displayed and continue to display by calling and wishing for any fellow blogger's death (even Metaphorically).

That you do so against the Shah or Khomeiny or Ahmadinejad who are Political Public figures who have power or that you use it against any other person in the public eye on grounds of freedom of speach is one thing. But to indulge in HARRASMENT and Intolerant Behavior against others who like you or me have NO MORE and NO LESS RIGHTS than YOU in expressing themselves is something that I personally find Revolting.

That is why I don't like to see you comment on my blogs. Not that your comments may not be intelligent or pertinent or untrue. BUT SIMPLY BECAUSE IT's YOU !

Unlike Your Metaphoric (or Not ) Past Death Wishes I don't wish your death or see any physical harm done to you. However personally I wouldn't mind seeing you banned from this site like the rest of your likeminds just like I was be it to give you a lesson. Alas and lucky for you that does not depend on me.

There is nothing objective or moral in hatred. Hatred is an emotional reaction by definition which cannot be explained in logical terms. It can and Should be controlled or moderated in order to avoid a direct confrontation between the people concerned. Such as between YOU and ME.

That is why Society has created laws and courts so as to regulate human relations and maintain civil peace.

YOU Seem however to Ignore these codes of conduct merely by hiding behind the argument that it is YOUR FREEDOM of SPEECH And that YOU have to Right to express Yourself and behave like YOU Do Continuously and unimaginatively as if You were alone !

It's like if you would enter someone else's Apartment and Start Shouting your head off for no reason and expect others to understand you or tolerate your behavior or views.

You will ultimately be Treated the way YOU Deserve to Be Treated.

Best,

DK
