Iranian weightlifter Omid Naiij Kenari has been given a life ban by the International Weightlifting Federation after a second doping offence. Naiij previously tested positive for a banned substance four years ago. Other members of the Iranian team, Saeid Ali-Hosseini, Anoush Armak and Rashid Sharifi, have also failed in their doping tests and according to IWF rules Iran's weightlifting team is on the verge of supension:

These athletes being found guilt of PED is not particularly noteworthy on a global scale, considering all the other doping scandals to rack the sporting world- especially olympic and professional sports in the US.
Until there isn't something people won't say somethingS!

علی حسینی، وزنه بردار فوق سنگین ایران که به علت دوپینک ممکن است تا ابد از وزنه برداری محروم شود، به حسین رضا زاده سرپرست فدراسیون وزنه برداری حمله کرد و این کار را طرح رضازاده برای خارج کردن وی از دور رقابتها دانست. او روز دوشنبه ۵ بهمن به خبرگزاری ورزش رژیم گفت: «خیلی جالب است یکدفعه آقایان می گویند هر دو نمونه گرفته شده از من مثبت اعلام شده درحالی که سایت فدراسیون جهانی هنوز خبر مثبت بودن نمونه اول مرا هم تائید نکرده است. با این وجود قسم می خورم هیچ داروی غیر مجازی استفاده نکردم. من پاک هستم و این ماجرا را از همه راه های ممکن پیگیری می کنم تا مشخص شود چه توطئه ای کرده اند که نابودم کنند». سعید علی حسینی اضافه کرد:
