I have shown evidence to disprove what you have said.
Now how about you showing some evidence for the ludicrous statement that you have made?
Dear Divaneh
by afyoun on Sun Aug 01, 2010 04:54 AM PDTYour arguments - as a Divaneh - carries more rationality and logic than our "sane" muslim hamvatans here and back home.
They are so full of themselves that they even reject the simplest equation in life. Next the say Iranians are actually Chinese who migrated from Sweden to Iran which back then was located in Alaska and was actually under saudi's sovereignty and in 6thAD they pulled it all the way down to the middle-east using emam-e zaman's turban.
So, 2 ≠ 4½ but 4= 2x2
And we let them rule our country.
islamic logic!
by choghok on Sun Aug 01, 2010 04:36 AM PDTthis is his logic
woman = single man
single or married man = married man.
this leads to
woman = married man.
even in his twisted logic we get to the fact that man equals woman.
A scenario made of the twisted logic. if a married woman and her unmarried brother get inheritance then they should be treated as opposite. The married female equals single man and unmarried man equals married.
also they are first thought to be given the same inheritance but then when god sees that one of them is single then automatically he gets twice as much as the married one.
New theory of relativity
by divaneh on Sun Aug 01, 2010 02:28 AM PDTThis should be hailed as Iranian's own claim on relativity. As he said "een masaleh besyaar daghigh ast". A cat is not smaller than a horse, it's the horse that is bigger than the cat. Otherwise they are both the same size. It is called theory of Islamic ratio enhanced relative equality with the ratio of 1/2 for women.
I also wonder, do women pay half when it comes to Khoms and Zakaat or are they equal to men with the relativity ratio of 1/1?
Ad hominem

So then if we stop
by Shibb on Sat Jul 31, 2010 11:39 PM PDTSo then if we stop expecting you to pay the expenses can we get our fair share? It's the 21st century. In every non-backwards place in the world we can take care of ourselves now.
Let us be honest
by jalaledin99 on Sat Jul 31, 2010 10:35 PM PDTMen have more responsibilties than women. Men are expected to care for their wife and children, i.e. pay the expenses. Given that reality, why shouldn't men be entitled to more inheritance than women?
Is this not true?
Pirouz
by Agha_Irani on Sat Jul 31, 2010 09:59 PM PDTI see you are back to making foolish comments.
Women may not have had voting and inheritance rights in the early 20th Century US but that does not mean that its OK for it to happen in Iran in the 21st Century. It was wrong back then and it is still wrong today.
This sharia that you are so keen to defend may have been suitable in Arabistan 1400 years ago; but like all the laws and ideology of this backward regime it has no place in the 21st Century anywhere on this planet, be it Iran or Arabistan. This islamist ideology is doomed to fail and the sooner the better. Good riddance!

Its confusing
by khaleh mosheh on Sat Jul 31, 2010 03:14 PM PDTbecause islamic law is a mess. It is backward and barbaric and not appropriate for the modern societies. Sadly the filthy Sharia law is being shoved down the throat of the Iranians with much gusto by the Khameinei, AhmadiNejad and the rest of the ugly IRI outfit.
Generous formula

so a married woman with children . . .
by Saman Ahmadi on Sat Jul 31, 2010 03:06 PM PDTwould get twice as much as a single man with no children.

Sargord Pirooz, don't make me laugh buddy!
by Everybody Loves Somebody ... on Sat Jul 31, 2010 03:04 PM PDTYou have a grandfather!? I have always been under the impression that they left you in front of the door!?
Up until recent times, this
by Sargord Pirouz on Sat Jul 31, 2010 02:49 PM PDTUp until recent times, this formula was actually quite generous. In the United States, for example, women had no inheritance rights whatsoever right into the first quarter of the 20th century. All of the major rights now enjoyed by American (including the right to vote in an election) have all taken place within the ongoing lifetime of my 102 year old grandfather.
What's my point? My point is, things change. And applying today's standard in one place, is highly unrealistic in applying it to another.

Islamic math
by comrade on Sat Jul 31, 2010 02:02 PM PDT2 is not half of 4. It is 4, which is twice as much.

Right???
