Cheshm-cheraani = Bi-Hejabi!
by ghalam-doon on Sat May 08, 2010 07:45 AM PDTI don't know where they get their PHDs but it should have been embarrasing for this so-called Doctor to come on national TV and talk about "cheshm-cheraani."
There are many women in Iran and around the world who cover their hair for religious beliefs. They don't envy bi-hejab women and never belittle them. The same goes for bi-hejab women who respect the rights of others to wear whatever they want.
The problem is "ejbaar" not "bi-hejabi."
On the other hand Ms. Davoodi comes on TV and says we should forget all restrictions that society has forced upon us and wear whatever we want. She has forgotten that famous quote from a dead philosopher:
"Woman is born free and everywhere she is in chains."
It would be fine for a woman who doesn't live in a society to wear whatever she wants. But unfortunately we live in a society and we should abide with its unwritten rules. This goes for that girl in a tiny village in Iran or a very fashionable girl in a toni European neighborhood.
And then she does that shameful "Islamic striptease" and the guy for the sake of "cheshm-cheraani" says "come on, take off everything!"
Honest, Outspoken and Sincere ...
