Siavash Gharib came to Los Angeles in 1969 to attend the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) after completing his secondary education at Alborz High School in Tehran . Subsequent to graduation with a BS degree in Engineering from UCLA in 1974, he began his graduate work in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC). Following the completion of his Doctoral degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1980 at USC, Siavash was awarded a Post Doctoral fellowship for two years to perform research in enhanced oil recovery processes under a contract with the United States Department of Energy >>>
