Yes, Darius
by Ari Siletz on Sat Nov 06, 2010 03:04 AM PDTThe fact that monarchy has ancient roots doesn't mean it can't evolve into a modern institution. To wit, the European cases you have documented. For an Iranian monarchy to materialize along democratic lines it would take the same cultural adjustments and civic institution building that Ganji recommends for a democratic republic. Whichever way we end up going, Ganji's advice about good methods of consensus building applies. A monarch whose subjects can't maintain dialogues among each other will have to take matters into his own hand thereby busting up the whole idea of a constitutional monarchy--no matter how much he may want one.
Ari Jaan Do You mean Just Like the Monarchy ? ;0)
by Darius Kadivar on Sat Nov 06, 2010 12:49 AM PDT"Western culture also relies on ideas going back to the 7th century and before. The fact that a way of being has its roots in the past is no argument for throwing it out altogether."

by Ari Siletz on Wed Nov 03, 2010 04:18 PM PDTYour individual mind may be able to airlift itself across centuries of cultural development and institution building, but the whole nation is a much heavier load and has to go by ground. Patience.
VOA ANOTHER VOICE OF ISLAMIST
by afshinazad on Wed Nov 03, 2010 02:36 PM PDTWhat it is that all these islamist once they were screwing our people now they are voice of freedom fighters, people like GANJI or others like every day on VOA OR BBC or the other western persian broadcasts. I wonder why they are not allowing other people voices to be heard. do our people want these people represent them, aren't our people tired of these islamist and they want get rid out islamic nightmares.our people want freedom from any one with 7th century ideology, not the diffrent version of it.why western countries forget that what kind of society we had before 1979? it is quite shame that they think we are morons and we don't understand what is right for us and our country.
Ganji a voice of reason
by MOOSIRvaPIAZ on Wed Nov 03, 2010 02:24 PM PDTgreat interview.
Ganji & Co.'s task today is the same task Gharhe'nay & Fardoost
by Hoshang Targol on Wed Nov 03, 2010 07:01 AM PDThad in 1979. To successfully transition to a "new" regime with preserving as much of the old regime as possible.
And to accopmlish this task they have the support of entire "Western" media [ BBC, VOA,..] , Kyoto institute [ $500,000, please note that such a sum is not paid just to anyone in random, but has certain repercussions and attachments involved] , and every other imaginable group and organization in the "West" behind them.
Another Khomieni in the making? You be the judge.
Ganji voices a fundamental task
by Ari Siletz on Tue Nov 02, 2010 10:29 PM PDTGanji is for Sale
by Demo on Tue Nov 02, 2010 09:53 PM PDTAll four videos should be trashed. It's the kind of deception and weaselness that is very easy to observe among the traitors.
PS: A traitor & a former regime's secret services agent no way be could trusted @ any price whether be for a $500K award from a questionable source or for an interview with the VOA (Voice Of Akbar!!!)Ganji is priceless
by Q on Tue Nov 02, 2010 06:06 PM PDTthat last video should be translated and distributed. It's the kind of honesty and fairness that is very hard to find among exiles.
