Ironically, they are not even accepted in all those lands where their ancestors originally came from anymore!! I agree. I mean why would god pick a man like this? If god did pick a man like this would god not tell him this is wrong? So it boils down to:

• He was not God's prophet.
• He was but ignored God.
• God condones this.

Somehow I do not think God condone this. So that leave the other two.  Neither of which is the making of a real prophet. Now many Muslims take the 3rd option. That is why they figure if it is OK by God then it is fine. That is how this moral failure is spread by Islam.

Marriage with minors

I expect my comment to be deleted. I am trying to phrase this in the nicest possible way about being deliberately provocative. Marrying a nine year old was morally reprehensible in the sixth centrury as it is the twenty first century. You cannot condone such behaviour by saying this was an accepted social custom several hundred years ago. If you were a Prophet sent by God, then you set an example and try to be a paragon of virtue by saying marrying nine year olds are wrong. You are after all, a prophet, are you not? Otherwise what makes you different from other people and people should follow you?

Religions are often inconsistent because of their nature. So the believers needs to "mast mali"  it somehow. I just don't get why do people hold on to it so hard. None of the stuff will hold against reason.

Why did this stuff happen? Because Ali and Mohammad were selfish and powerful. They used their power to get whatever their twisted little minds wanted. Now their followers want us to think of them as some kind of Saints. To do so they manufacture this nonsense.

We need to publicize this stuff as much as possible. Many people go around saying they are Muslim. But they are decent people who would never accept such behavior. They need to be told and reminded again and again. That they are following a rotten pervert and a child molester.

65.4 You can marry (and divorce) little girls who have not yet reached menstruation age.

The prophet married Ayesha at age 6 to comply with this aya. However

The reception depends on where the guy comes out of the desert. If he shows up in Arizona then you are right; in California he probably get a good sized following :-)
