Something About Medals
by HHH on Sat Nov 27, 2010 03:37 AM PSTKnowing that Iran's population is about 75 million and also knowing that more than half of that population, the women, have little or no chance of entering major sports we have only about 33 million who have some opportunity to become something, somewhere in our country's sports. China on the other hand has 1.4 billion population with women participating in more games than men. So our actual participating population ratio is 33/1400 or about 1/42.
Now look at the medals ratio! it's 59/416 or about 1/7 !
This means if we had a free, participating population similar to China we would've earned nearly 2400 medals compared to China's 416. See how good we are? All Iranians need are Freedom & Opportunity.
Iranians are good at sports
