Very much recommand Neshat/Azari's film Zanan bedoon mardan
by aynak on Sun Oct 03, 2010 03:26 PM PDTZanan Bedoon Mardan. It is a visually pleasing and historically/politically a hot film (among very few) that we have that caputre the 1953 time period. As importantly, and as diffiuclt it is to stay true to the spirit of Shahrnoush Parsipours Novel, it was a good job by bothe Shireen Neshaht and Shoja Azari.
If you haven't watched it an you are Iranian, it is a must. Others may need a bit of background to understand both the novel and the film.
Love new commentator from Iran via satellite ...

The show is pure trash now
by Q on Fri Oct 01, 2010 05:17 PM PDTIt has seriously deteriorated and now has no original content.
The best part of the show was it's reference to Saman Moghadam's version of "Ey Iran", a reformist-era celebration of Iranian arts and cultures. Original is here: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mi82PmYmMb0
Jenab Hosseini,
How can you show this video and compare it to the modified one that uses "Islam" and then with a straight face criticize Khatami and claim Nothing was done by the reformists?
It's in fact people like you (including many ignorant fossilized Iranians on IC) who like to pretend there is no difference between reformists/Greens and the hardliners. In other words there is nothing that Iranians themselves can do inside Iran and therefore foreign armies are necessary to "liberate" them.
That's the ultimate message of the US-tax payer funded VOA, which is now even scamming the tax payer by producing a "clown" show with no actual news and pretending like it falls withing the guidelines of the broadcasting board.
To drive the point home, Hosseini says: "we don't care who Derakhshan is, or how much treason he has done or not done, we just care that you broke your promise." The clown-man gives himself away prematurely.
dast roo shod.
Very Talented Lady :)
