It can’t get faker than this.

Muslims are dumb to believe this garbage. I really love the belt sander I have one like it, it cut wood well. They are going sand and paint those old American made planes till there is no skin left but frame, then we can call them stealth planes.

If IRI has that much smart people why don’t they design and manufacture from scratch instead of keep ainting these old ones from Shah’s time or at least buy few new ones.

Abusaleh: I was wondering about the same thing :)

by Bavafa on

I hope Iranians can achieve more success in the field of engineering and science, but perhaps more in the civil section rather then military applications.

Bfarahmand: I completely agree with your comments, while noting using Italians as a yard stick and point of reference for technological success is not a very high standards.

Having visited Italy on a number of occasions, including Turin, I often though my home town which not much more then a village seemed to be more advanced then many parts of Italy.

Did you ask

by iamfine on

Did you ask yourself what I have done for my country lately. It is easy to criticize and this is and was true under the shah as well. It is part of culture to criticise and not to contribute.

BTW - I don't want anybody gets the impression that I agree with what IRI is doing. However, If each one of us do something positive for our motherland, Iran would be in a much better position

So what?

by Anonymous Observer on

Even if this propaganda piece is true, so what?  They are still repairing a bunch of 60 year old museum pieces that don't stand a chance against any half-decent air force.  The UAE can probably achieve air supremacy over Iran within 24 hours (sadly).

"We have the tendency to

"We have the tendency to mix apples and oranges."  I agree.

However, there are only  2-3 technical fields in Iran, which have been improved.  This is the least IRI could do with so many brains and intelectual hard workings in Iran.

Aerospace

by iamfine on

A few years ago, I was invited to take a tour in Turin Italy where their aerospace center was located. I was not impressed at all. The Italians had a few small projects from the USA international space station, which I already was familiar with. A few months ago, I had the opportunity to visit the Iranian aerospace and it was much better than Italians. I am not trying to take sides, that was only an observation from my part. Having said that, the credit should go to those Iranian scientists that work hard to make this possible. We have the tendency to mix apples and oranges. If there is a progress in technology in Iran, the credit should not go to the government, rather, it should be given to Iranian scientists.

Sanding and Painting is overhall for these guys, just one of these overhall jets were crashed  about week ago.

it is so obvious

by mahmoudg on

a whole bunch of them were gathered together for show.  Couple of the guys are simulating some sort of work on the aircraft and have their suite on!!!!!!  another guys is aimlessly placing a screwdriver somewhere in the nose cone and he is watching the camera.  Even for propoganda these Islamist can't do it right.

Plus before the revolution, i remember many of the parts were worked on in Iran.  only those sensitive and technolgically advanced parts were shipped back to the US.  I know this because my uncle was a commander of the airforce and we would hear about these in coversations.  So yet another lie of this propganda is out.
