Kiros???
by pedro on Sat Apr 09, 2011 07:42 PM PDTWhy why why our kings name is disrespected. Who the hell is kiros??
Stop repeating that name. Do not associate our king of kings name with any parts of your body. Some of you are so pathetic and shameless.

kiros = koorosh
by choghok on Tue Apr 05, 2011 12:11 AM PDTIn many european languages koorosh is pronounced kiros. I do not think for one second that this guy meant to say something that would ridicule himself in front of his employer
I just saw the video, how funny
by Anahid Hojjati on Mon Apr 04, 2011 10:09 PM PDTThe coach actually made his name worse by telling that story. Wow.

Plenty of time to call Queiroz names
by bahmani on Mon Apr 04, 2011 06:12 PM PDTThe proof as they say, will be in the pudding. The key is to bring the BEST Iranian players for each position, have a quality backup player to that position, and teach them how to play selflessly with no regard for the potential contracts that they might get after being seen on the world stage.
We don't need anymore low end German league stars to muddy the morale.
I would also like to see him play a 2:5:3 with 2 midfielders serving double duty as 2nd layer forwards (true midfielders) and first layer defense. This gives us an added 2 forwards during an attack, as well as an extra 2 defenders when under attack.
The 2 up front merely need to take advantage of opportunities that the 5 midfielders present them.
Forwards should be players who simply have that unexplainable uncanny ability to score goals. Don't have to be pretty or elegant, just need to get that ball into the back of the net with any scrappy crappy or lucky play that they can muster.
Defense needs to be big, tall, and fast to close down any air or ground attack.
Midfield needs to be quick, fast, dribble crazy, and able to run full speed for 90 minutes with unrelenting hunger.

Kir-os or ki-roosh?
by comments on Mon Apr 04, 2011 01:39 PM PDTKir-os or ki-roosh? In BBC Persian they translates it as Ki-roosh. What side should we take in the first match? :)
Poor guy, he doesn't know what types of people he is dealing with in a soccer match in Iran.
I see the involvment of West in here :) Are we suppose to call this Western values :)
Please excuse my use of the phrase but

fussygorilla
by Tavana on Mon Apr 04, 2011 11:57 AM PDTWhat does anti-Iranian have anything to do here with hiring a non-Iranian coach & paying him hard $$$ cash to lead an Iranian National Footbal team by the regime who is trying everything possible to make a face for a team with very serious fundamental problems ignored for decades? Does this guy know any of those problems? Of course not. Why is it that any of the criticism of the regime is immediately labled as 'anti-Iranian?' The only 'anti-Iranian' can one see here is the regime which considers the National Footbal Team as its "Kiroos" by hiring a clown by the money out of the National Treasure. When a even real 'gorilla' understands that, why then making a 'fuss' about it on IC?
Story out of nothing

A good "friend"?
by fussygorilla on Mon Apr 04, 2011 09:09 AM PDTObviously, this poor man has been had by the person he thinks is his "good friend" in Dubai. Dirty Iranian who apparently does not even know what friendship is supposed to be. He must be one anti-Iranian like many on this site. who has tried to embarrass Iranian sports fans. Shame on him.
