VOA underlying message, Greenies keep it quite
by Kashk on Sun Apr 24, 2011 08:31 AM PDTThis guy has been lucky to leave Iran and his advice for supporters and families of thousands dead/tourtured/in prison is non-violence. It was ok to through Shah out with violence and not for this regime that has blood of so many of its own on its hands.
Another rafsanjani lobbiest, and favorite kind of VOA guests.
Simply Gullible
by shahabshahab on Sun Apr 24, 2011 07:46 AM PDTThis nice man seems to have all the good intentions. But the world's non-violence movement has never encountered Moslem oppression, So, they have no history to go by, just theory.
Well, let me assure you my dear doctor: non-violence does not work for Moslems. They are used to violence, It s their language, their culture. The reason it kind of worked against the British, who were also extremely viloent and had (and still do have) the culture of violence, was because Ghandi was not fighting a religious government.
But it's the thought that counts. He means well, it appears. Good luck to him.

by Fool Me twice... on Sat Apr 23, 2011 09:37 AM PDTI began typing as soon as the numbness in my hands were gone, after the Usual long applause. Just a quick note thogh, has anyone ever bothered to challenge this so called Ghandi disciple on the empty rhetoric he spews any chance he is awarded? what would have happend if the british would have tortured, raped, and forced Ghandi to confessed to crimes he hadn't committed? Then in a fake Trial he would have been condemned to death for trying to overthrow the government? OR, while he was in prison his family were brought in and tortured in front of him. How could you carry on a conversation with someone who's coming with intent to kill you? Now perhaps I will be accused of promoting violence, quite the opposite, I despise violence. Self-defence is not violence. So what would you suggest Forum?? A group of thugs have attacked your home, burglarizing your Home and Assaulting your Family. Will you try to have a conversation with the Attackers? Or ,will you try to save you Family by any means? Where would we (the world) be today if there had been no-one to defend the underdog?
just for your consideration. Yaa Hagh.
I LMAO....lol.....lol
