Entertainment is needed in Iran and could strongly unite Iranians.  Arts educate Iranians especially movies, which present the society.

Art is a significant political force that the regime fears and understands the need to suppress.  Helping promote and improve the arts is an act of resistance. Promote it by attendance or purchase, improve it by critique and discussion.

By the way, this video sucked as a piece of propaganda as it actually helped promote the artists who were attacked--albeit in a boring way. Memo to regime: fire the director!
