VPK changes with IRI UK

by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on

IRI is now trashing the image of the UK.

//www.presstv.ir/detail/215855.html

And revealing how low the UK was prepared to go to work with IRI despite the plight of Iranians.  Begging to maintain relations.  This is the context with which the bbc approached RP.  He on the other hand made an excellent move, not one the UK truly supports, but one which if we can support him could cause changes that are irreversible with respect to the demise of the IRI.  Brits have been marginlized and pushed out of power/influence in Iran by IRI and IRI is over the next year going to focus their efforts on humiliating the UK at every turn.

They are saying to UK, we know your interests and that you need mullahs, so you can't do a damn thing, shut up and take it until we decide what we will do with you and when we will let you back in and under what conditions.  This could cause a change in UK policy/method not the end goal.

The question is:

How the rest of us can support this great move?

Any idea?

Thank you GS. for this post and others.

  • Less bloody and more dramatic
  • Makes good tv
  • Contributions can be made to hire the best bail-bond hunters
  • Good that this is initiated by an Iranian team
  • Will Ayatollahs hire Shirin Ebadi to represent them at ICJ in Hague?

The interests of USA are influenced more by the UK

by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on

The Interests of the UK is of more value to the USA than the interests of Iran.  Changes are taking place regarding IRI regime, in UK policy, as is evident in the uk media articles recently writing about how great british trade was when RP's father was in power.

Yet they are not supportive of RP, just creating displeasure for IRI among their own society.  We see The UK is getting kicked out by IRI in big deals left and right and in the caspian basin and is being replaced by russia.  IRI leadership doesn't trust friendship with the UK, since after the 2009 mousavi green movement organized by pro UK actors in Iran.  This is what we know from the little info we can get from mass media, I don't have any other info other than what we all see.

They are still not backing RP or any prodemocracy secular groups for Iran, he has always been allowed to answer interviews with media that seek him out, not the other way around (he can't actively seek media and organize).  In this case the media is seeking RP out for the ends of its own bosses.  The issue with IRI is that it is getting close to its final chapter, but its not there yet, it will take a few more years, but as we all can see, the IRI can't change their plans so they will have to come to an end/change of some sort/sepratist movements.  UK wants other mullahs of its own, not the khamenei groups in control and now independen of them, but agents working for UK. RP is making good use of access he is given, but he faces a UK that loves mullahs/sell outs as it has so many on its payroll, albeit their agents are not in control right now.  They tried to kill khamenei recently by having their agents invite him to the missile factory on the same day it went off, the point is they don't like khameneii or his team.  They fully support Khatami yet khameneii has ended all the greens political futures.

Rastgoo

Monarchy vs. Republic

by Rastgoo on

I have always opposed a monarchy in Iran primarily because of the corruption and the arbitrariness that permeate Iranian history which has always been monarchial with the exception of the past 32 years.  Needless to say it was proven to all of us that this was not due to the monarchial system but Iranian socio-political culture.  Consequently I have begun having a change of heart and mind with respect to a monarchial system in Iran.  A couple of reasons for that:

1.  The current prince to the Pahlavi throne is genuine and also Democratic.  This is further buttressed by his western upbringing as well as education.

2.  Iran is a multi ethnic society that is best served with a unifying symbol.  Ironically the current regime, although divisive, is also a unifying power due to the Shia faith that is shared by Iran's largest ethnic groups: the Farsis and the Azeris. The fact that Khamenei is an ethnic Azeri has undoubtedly eased the pressure for an Azeri separatist movement.

I think under the circumstances a monarchial system may be the best form of governance in Iran combined with a federal platform.  I do, however, caution that I am not a "Shahollahi" and would approve of a monarchy only in its strict constitutional form.

you mean by:  I was really bitter since all my personal efforts (no matter how small) was not even supported by anyone here, except "Yolanda",

I have said there should be trials of these guys as many others. How do you say no one else supported it. I think you are not being fair. Many people on IC have supported prosecution of IRI criminal gang. Than includes "OnlyIran".

Onlyiran jaan, I agree with

by Arthimis on

Onlyiran jaan, I agree with you...

For many years here on IC and with different names , many asked for the same approach! In one instance (under a different name here) I wrote a blog and even petitioned/ invited every one here to join in engaging with all human right organizations & activists, hiring Top International Criminal Attornies to pursue this CRIMINAL matter against entire I.R. and Khamenei as the No. 1 target! Believe it or not, I even spend some serious time and money on my own , but couldn't get any support and after near 9 months of intense activities (which cost me a loss of personal relationship with my ex partner in life...) I had to let go, in order to keep my own sanity and save my career & financial status...

I was really bitter since all my personal efforts (no matter how small) was not even supported by anyone here, except "Yolanda", ironically a non-Iranian , yet a great human being who had very encouraging words here for my efforts... (Thank you again Yolanda for your support back then, if you remember...)

Anyway, I guess You have to be as important figure as Prince Reza to attract serious attention and support... And as an Iranian , I admire his courage now! Finally Prince Reza Jaan, Doorood bar Sharaf Shoma va Tamami Mardom Baa Sharf Iran va Jahan.

Let's Expose & get all the Criminals (against humanity) Convicted! Be Omid Piroozi...

I am finally proud of RP but I have a question from you. Do you hold that USA is against RP or do you think they are now backing him. If not then why is he speaking up and if yes what happened.

Kingreza3

Don't believe his prodemocracy

by Kingreza3 on

I don't believe his rants about democracy, our history has had many that talked the talk but when it was time to walk they stumbled. 11 years ago when he first came to spot light ( my guess money was drying up) I emailed him and asked what if you were given an opportunity to go back and start a democracy in Iran, would you give up all your "rights" to be a monarch for a greater good and his response(to be fair his secretary's) was if people of iran want a monarch it's only democratic for him to return as a king. I think same idea was proposed to G. Washington or one of those oldies when the USA was forming and he dismissed the idea immediately. That's why in my opinion we have a democracy in the US but not iran. We have had many people that before they had the power they were great on paper. Listen to Khomeini or khamenei when they were younger. But turned when they actually had the power.

First solid move

by Rastgoo on

I have never before seen a meaningful and solid move by Reza Pahlavi.  Although I'm not a monarchist, I do wish him personally very well as he seems to be very genuine and a true patriot.  Unfortunately, not unlike his father,  he lacks the confidence and charisma that a leader should have.

ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo, asked about Pahlavi’s announcement, said “citizens around the world are learning to request the court’s intervention.”

“In this sense, I think it’s great to show people who are looking for justice. Now they know how to do it. We are providing a new institution to the world, to make the world better,” Ocampo told a news conference in New York.
