I can not justify or launder any wrong-doing be it is committed by IRI, Israel, Mojahedin, Cummies or even myself. I have a free spirit and can not be slave to my selfish interest or thought.

I'm trying to look into a way to eradicate injustice in the domain of creation comitted by humans.

My take is if more than 80% of the people are against regime, for sure it will topple by massive people power. Currently, I see the pain of opposition abroad and 20% of the active-urban-opposition-population in Iran are in minority and not the same pain as the majority of Iranians.(yea! go ahead and brand me but this is myanalysis)

A regular Joe (Silent Majority) in Iran is only looking for good economy and secure society. They care very little about "percieved" lack-of-freedom in Iran. I'm like the majority silent Iranian that does NOT like certain lack-of-freedoms but is able to live wih it. Now, if someone will finger bee-hive, one needs to be ready for a sting. The reason is that the nature of bea is to sting intruder. AND, the nature of ANY government is to save and secure it's system. 

Unfortunately, Iran's problem is those very regular-Joes - The Silent Majority. We are a great beginner to destroy current system but a poor continuer to construct the pillars of society and upholding them.I mean look: everybody from royalist to cummies is joined forces to down IRI. But I bet, if IRI goes down, even a brutal clash will be wipping on poor Iranians. I mean IRI elite members at least believe in the same principals and yet they have so much conflicting interest. Now imagine what will happen if the opposition will take over.

The people I think these days are very alert in Iran. They analyze events whole lot better than opposition abroad because they have gravely vested interest in what goes on. So, I think it would be hard to change the Majority-Silent people mind.

I think the green movement was the closest/successful alternative that Iranian people could have had, but the opposition abroad derailed it.

Now, If you think I'm here to disperse opposition, it is a low blow! I'm just trying to say that Egypt revolution happened in less than a mont but it is now 30 years that Israel, US, and opposition is trying to topple IRI but not able to. I need to know your opinion - I;ve given mine!

I do not come to Iranina.com that often since I think it does not give a REAL picture of Iran situation. It is highly biased as majority of politically-active Iranians abroad are the opposition!

I hope most posters here have gots to come and speak their hearts out.Now if you want to know why IRI is still going and going strong, you need to listen to the Silent Majority.

We do have an over accumulation of religious "intellectuals" in Iran so, less the better. Actually according to Gramsci, these types of "thinkers", because of their religious "certainties" are not even intellectuals. See him on  " Organic Intellectual".

I am a bit slow this morning. Would you please explain to me how actions of IR help prevent injustice:

• Rape of men an women.
• Public stoning of people specially of women.
• Discrimination against women.
• Shipping trucks full of dollars and gold out of Iran into Khamenei's Swiss bank.
• Prolonging the war with Iraq and costing hundreds of thousands of lives.
• Murder of every Marxist prisoner byKhomeini.

I just do not see how these help prevent injustice. Will you please help me.

Islam is

Islam is the problem and I disagree that IRR goes against it. They are implementing Sharia. It is Islam and in the way it was supposed to be. The worst we do is to put on a good face on Islam. The way to move forward it to reject Islam.

I just wrote a blog of one possible source of Islam. Please read it and tell me what you think. I know it probably will not be liked by many. But then I am not trying to be popular. Rather to bring light to darkness which is Islam.

We have at least 3000 "Evidence"s on "political Islam"

in general, and Iran's Islamist regime and Al_Qaeda mevement in particular being directly responsible for creating this very hostile climate against the muslims worldwide. The political Islam has been a total disaster for the anti Imerialist and liberation movements worldwide, from Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine to Latin America which was for sure the intention of it's creators.

But what is less evident to the masses are  those  who were responsible for creating, fostering, arming and letting lose this fascist movement on pre dominantly muslim  world, in the interest of Money, Greed and defeating the forces of secularism, socialism and progress. What's happening now is that the Islamist chicken has come back home to roost.

Talking about the hijacking of the Iranian revolution by the “Islamists” the good professor rightly talks about “it just happened bunch of Islamists took over and dominated…”

Since we live in a world where most public deeds are well documented and available for all to see, it would have been the scholarly thing to do for the professor if he had also talked about his own role and participation for many years after in the said takeover, domination and justification of it.

- Has introduced for the first time in Iranian history, death by stoning, as a state punishment,

-Has opened up " Foced Labor Camp" throughout the country,

- Regularly hands out flogging sentences as punishment,

I beg to disagree with JJ;

Islamophobia is NOT as a result IRI actions but rather because of huge propaganda machine that wants to crush IRI stance against injustice imposed in middle east by Israel and backed by US/Britain/France/Germany.

Imagine that you are being treated as slumdog over 32 years. Anyone who does not take this into account will end up with a misjudgement.

This reminds me of the move Twins (Arnold and Danny DeVito). It is hard to florish your potentials in the atmosphere of malnourshment.

The people in middle east are plainly pissed off at world powers to treat them inferiorly. They will hang on to any tools to resolve their problem....some use Islam, some use Democracy and Justice as tool.

I really do not believe the West wants middle east people to progress unless they shed their Islamic belief...AND..this is the very anomaly and hypocrisy with the Dmocracy and human rights that is being imposed on the people there.

You will see that Israel will try to derail Egypt democratic uprise....and, I know, WE freedom-loving people will not even say a word because it does not fit our interest. We selectively try to ignore events that does not serve our model and we end up wondering why the outcome is different than our analysis.

Simply, think about the orientation of mid-east countries from 79 till 2011. The trend is badly at odds with US/Israel interest and we will see even further antagonism against Islam and Muslims in an accelerated fashion. I for sure do NOT want to see US interest in sacrificed for Israel. This is the point that Americans started realizing and I'm hoping it will be at some critical mass to save America.

Muslims & politics

Sadri reminds us that the Islamic Republic is an anomaly. The very creation of a religious state by Khomeini and his followers went against the very foundations and history of Shiism. And the idea that Muslim politicians everywhere are bent on copying Iran is not true.

At the same time, the existing fear of Islam, is not fueled solely by Fox news or right-wing politicians in the West. The primary source of Islamophobia, I believe, is the terrible record of the Islamic Republic at home and abroad since its inception, as well as the murderous actions of radicals such as Bin Laden, the Taliban and others, whose thoughts may not constitute those of the majority of Muslims, but they have inspired an extremist minority and turned them into the face of Islam today.

Also, at this point, after all that has happened, in Iran in particular, it has become a moot point whether the Islamic Republic represents true or false Islam. People are just sick of political Islam period.
