He is of a different breed
by samak on Sat Feb 12, 2011 07:58 PM PSTOne thing is certain. he is different from the rest of this herd and I don't mean it in a derogatory manner. The herd is a group of living things, with a pre-determined mind set. Mousavi, Karoubi, Ahmadinejad, and Rafsanjani to name a few are not out of the box thinkers. He is. Whether this is good for Iran, too soon to tell but if he can survive and develop young followers to florish his chanllenge of established beleives, then, no matter what his core idiology and external manifestation of it is, the mere "out of box" thinking is good.

A nation of "haart-o-poort"
by ghalam-doon on Sat Feb 12, 2011 08:19 AM PSTDear divaneh, I wouldn't worry about the opinions expressed here. Look what Egyptians did without uttering "death to this and death to that."
And there is that other commentator who still thinks we are somehow better than A-rabs. Amazing thing is that he still holds on that opinion after watching millions of the same A-rabs being shot at and some were murdered on the streets of Cairo and still came back in bigger numbers!
So in short, we're here just to have a bit of fun and spew our venom as much as possible! Ah, now I feel better.

I like Rahim Mashaie very much
by alaaf on Sat Feb 12, 2011 05:48 AM PSTHe seems very diferent from the rest of them and keeps sending conflicting signals. Plus you cannot question his bravery. Walking in the streets of NY surrounded by angry anti-regime mob, talking to them without bodygurds. And now this.
Dear Roozbeh
by divaneh on Sat Feb 12, 2011 05:27 AM PSTYour extreme views and fanaticism makes you a perfect tool in the hand of anyone who wishes to form the next dictatorship in Iran after the IRI falls. Those who thought solution was to kill all servants of the shah's regime in the last revolution had the same mindset as you. Today we are experiencing the outcome of that solution.
We need to put an end to violence and particularly state violence. They should be tried hopefully after we have removed the capital punishment laws from the constitution of Iran.
With regards to Mashai and any other servant of the IRI, I think we should support them when they echo our desires. Judging him by his statements, he seems to be a nationalist politician and a moderate as opposed to hard liner and Islamic. That certainly strikes a chord with me. He has also proved to favour dialogue (as opposed to monologue) by talking to his opponents here and in his trip to New York. That is what we need more.
The beauty of this whole A-rab re-awakening
by mahmoudg on Fri Feb 11, 2011 07:48 PM PSTis that the A-rab lovers in Iran will have no place to flee and hide. they will be caught in Tehran and tried in Tehran. Based on a Western Jurisprudence of course. They will take the idea of being tried in an Islamic court to their life-time prison terms.
problem
by MRX1 on Fri Feb 11, 2011 06:25 PM PSTI think his problem is, among the islamo creeps he actualy looks too clean shaven and has a decent hair cut. Thirty years of brain washing on 7/24 basis has taken it's toll. Even if IRI vanishes tommorow it will take several decades if not more to erase this kind of thing from mind of people.
What's going on?
by ghalam-doon on Fri Feb 11, 2011 05:35 PM PSTWhat's Mr. Bean doing in Tehran?
And speaking Farsi!
So these people think Mashaie is not fanatic enough?
Thanks to 30+ years of Islamic Republic, we have a polarized country where these people think the govenment is too liberal.
Well, we have a big problem on our hands!
This scum bag and his boss
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Fri Feb 11, 2011 05:24 PM PSTShould be both put against a wall and shot in the head like the dogs they are, before getting a chance to scape to damescus with all the stolen money.
