BBC: Two Iranian warships have entered the Suez Canal to make a passage to the Mediterranean Sea, canal officials say. Iranian officials have said the warships are headed to Syria for training, a mission Israel has described as a "provocation". "They entered the canal at 0545 (0345 GMT)," Suez Canal officials said. It is believed to be the first time since Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution that Iranian warships have passed through the waterway. Iran's request stated the vessels would have no military equipment, nuclear materials or chemicals on board, the Egyptian defence ministry is quoted as saying >>>

Whatever this nasty Israel does
by statira on Wed Feb 23, 2011 08:51 AM PSTis to giving credits to the IRI. I'm sure deep inside they are laughing their belly out for these supposedly show of strength by the IRI, but on the surface they pretend to be concerned and scared. As most people believe Ahmadi, Khamenei and Islamic thugs serve Israel interests more than anyone else. All the Islamist agents in this site from Shotore molla Nasredin to khanum soskeh are on Islamic Republic payroll.

As an Iranian..
by masoudA on Wed Feb 23, 2011 08:21 AM PSTI just hate to be the tool of propaganda like this... Iranian Navy? are you kidding? Warships???? these are toys that can't sustain any serious attack for 5 minutes.........Someone somewhere outside of Iran is trying to present our country as a military force that we are not....maybe they are out to justify further defense spending..... I wonder if AN and the rest of IR goons know how they are being played...
Self-hating Iranians can go to doozakh!
by Shutruk on Wed Feb 23, 2011 08:13 AM PSTThis is a great day for the Iranian navy and for Iran. We are projecting our power into the Eastern Mediterranean as in the days of the Persan Empire . It is a disgrace that some Iranians sneer at this achievement.
SUPPORT OUR NAVY BOYS!
simply stupid
by MRX1 on Wed Feb 23, 2011 07:28 AM PSTIf you want to flex a muscle, you should have a muscle. Guess it's time to give credit to the supposedly evil shah and previous regime for buying these warships and creating a navy otherwise islamists will have to ride their shotor and take pride in that!
GO OUR BOYS!!!!
by Shutruk on Wed Feb 23, 2011 06:59 AM PSTIranians love their armed forces and especially the navy!
Dorood bar niroo ye daryai!
I hope the Israelis are shitting themselves. One of the missiles the Alvand is carrying is the same type that Hezbollah used to take out an Israeli corvette in the 2006 Lebanon war.
I wish I was there to cheer them on.

The difference!
by Shokaran on Tue Feb 22, 2011 09:10 PM PSTThis is the difference between free world and a jungle called Iran
In Iran those walking camels arrest and seize whoever passing close by that cursed land and here you see they can freely pass on canal to go to another junk yard like Syria or Lebanon!!....
Imagine if Israel would sink those garbage cans....lol...and all of a sudden Israel would be a monster and savage!
Soosan
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Tue Feb 22, 2011 08:57 PM PSTFirst of all: stop acting like a child an misspelling my name.
Second: I am not a defender of Israel. However if you think they are afraid of this ship you are delusional. "shaking in his pants"! Big words for someone living in the comfort of the West. Then condemning Iranians to get killed so you get your "yayas".
What do you want? To pick a fight with a force far better armed than Iran so Iranian soldiers get killed while you watch on TV? You already called us Iranians "racist". So why should we racist Iranians give a *** about Palestinians or Lebanon Why should Iran go head to head with Israel. I don't give a *** about either Israel; Palestine or any of them. Let them fight it out. The fact is that Israel is better armed than Iran. And USA is 100 times better armed than Israel. In a fight the two of them will join and wreck Iran. But then maybe that is what you want. To get some racist Iranians killed. Are you Iranian? Do you care about Iranians? Or you just want to blow hot air about one or two WWII ships going against state of the art American weapons created with 500 billion a year budget.
Finally: You sound a lot like some other IR supporters who are no longer with us.

by Soosan Khanoom on Tue Feb 22, 2011 08:12 PM PSTyes Nasrudin jan that makes me so proud as well ........ I am for anything that makes Zionist shake in their pants? they need it once in a while to stop bullying in the neighborhood ..........

Couple of Rust-Buckets to Divert Attention from IRI's Problems
by IranFirst on Tue Feb 22, 2011 07:52 PM PSTThese are just Couple of Rust-Buckets to Divert Attention from IRI's many internal and external (self-made) problems(the popular freedom movement that can result in regime change, terrible economy, International sanctions,..). These ships have no military value and the only one's impressed are uneducated Basijis and idiot hezbolahis that think in this day and age these ships can go to war with US fleet and win.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Tue Feb 22, 2011 07:43 PM PSTWhat part of used surplus WWII ships do you see as beautiful? Is IR going against WWII navy? Against a modern navy this ship is worthless. So exactly why should Iran waste its money on a ship that belongs in a museum! Have you heard of anti-Ship missiles; or torpedoes? I hate to see Iranian sailors sunk just to provide you and Mola with "beauty".
Now go whine about being beaten up.
Mola nasrudin azizam , I

Really what
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Tue Feb 22, 2011 07:02 PM PSTis the point of this ship? With inflation rampant; subsidies removed; IR is wasting money on sending ships to Suez?
To impress whom? Americans and Israeli are not worried. They could sink the ship in minutes if they want to. So this has to be a move to "impress" or rather divert attention of Iranians.
Shotor khan: do you really think there is any point to this!

How is she any better?!
by Esfand Aashena on Tue Feb 22, 2011 11:38 AM PSTShe hasn't done anything since 2006! Although yes she has been better overall with more brass! So you know them very well and no need to panic since knowing them would be more important to Croations than their night's bread?!
