JJ, "high" test

by Ari Siletz on

On a scale of 1-10 rank the following Iranian-American joke (Warning: 2 or above, you are higher than Balatarin.com).

Q: How many Iranian-Americans does it take to screw in a light bulb ?

A: One; any more and it gets too noisy to find the saaket.

Very smart!

by Nazy Kaviani on

This young man, Arash Tebbi, has done other productions which have been featured on Iranian.com before, such as the Jersey Shore, Persian Version series. They have all been produced and presented well, with a great sense of humor.

I wish him success. He will go far.

Iranian-American humor

by Jahanshah Javid on

It's so simple and absurd it made me laugh. Whoever is behind it is very innovative and daring.

Also, it got me thinking that this is for a purely Iranian-American audience, with emphasis on American.

For the younger generation in the US, this isn't that absurd and they would get the humor more than if it was in Persian. Maybe.

Ari Siletz

How many times does he have to tell us?!

by Ari Siletz on

Maz is not Black; he's Perzhian.

Jahanshah Javid

Funny!

by Jahanshah Javid on

I found it very funny. I took it seriously at first and had no clue it was a joke. Then it eventually hit me. And I was so surprised how funny it was. The contrast between an anglo American reporting on Iranian matters works beautifully. I don't know who is behind this work but I really don't care. It's a hilarious hit! More please!

(Or am I high?)
