The world's largest commercially available jigsaw puzzle has 24000 pieces. Fatemeh Ghafourian, her sister and her husband completed this puzzle in 45 days during their free time. In 2008, the three person team led by Ghafourian, were the first to accomplish this task in Iran and the second in all of Asia. Fatemeh says, "My husband (24 yrs old) and my sister (17 yrs old) and I (22 yrs old) made the puzzle together. We all are students. My husband and I are going to different Universities where as my sister goes to high school. Well the story begins when one shiny day my husband and I saw the "World's Largest Puzzle" in one of the shops in Tehran by accident. My husband knew about my passion for jigsaw puzzles, so he decided to buy this huge puzzle for me, and we together decided to join the challenge. We started to assemble the puzzle on July 1, 2008 but after some days a trip schedule for about 10 days gave us some break. We enjoyed every minute of this puzzle, and the most important things that we learnt from this puzzle were to be patient and see each piece with our full attention >>>
