Satar

Agha Sata. Besides being a great talent of Iran you are a superb gentleman. Unlike some of your peers you are outspoken and stand up for your beliefs. Wonderful song! God bless you.

SOS-FREE-IRAN

End the Blood libel against Pahlavi

by SOS-FREE-IRAN on

Enough is enough. Who are you people? When will you end the blood libel against the Pahlavi Monarchy? When will you stop repeating the lies spewed by Mr. Khomeini and his blood hounds in order to justify the revolution? When willl you people wake up to see that these mullahzadeh pseudoscholars were once marginized maoists, communists, thieves, rapist, terrorists who helped overthrow the Pahlavi Monarchy. When will you realize that this Islamic Republic had less than 1% of the people of Iran's support? It was revolution brought by the anntellectuals and mullahs trained by CIA/MI6. When will you see that these socialists were responsible for spreading blood libel about the Pahalvi's? These people did not rape, steal, and murder. Stop these bogus charges. The Islamic Republic rapes, steals, and murders. The Pahlavi's built Iran. The Islamic Republic has almost destroyed Iran. Can Iran be saved?

ahvazi

Why does anyone compare the Pahlavis to IRI

by ahvazi on

Yes, the Pahlavis tortured people but more than the Akhoonds of IRI?

The Pahlavis messed up but to compare them to these guys is a little bit unfair...

Having said i don't think Sattar should have mentioned both Neda and Ali-Reza. He could have focused on the "lost generation" of Iran that includes thousands that have died and suffered over the past 30 years.

Great video. God bless all who died for IRAN

by siavash1000 on

Great song by Sattar which reflects the brutality of the Islamic criminal gang who occupied our Aryan Land for last 31 years. Wish there was a way the video could demonstrates our virgin sisters who were raped the night before their execution by these Islamic monsters. Wish the video could show the massacre of our brothers who were forcefully disappeared, tortured and killed by these Islamic thugs for last 31 years and they were buried in mass grave without tombstons in cemetary. Wish the video could show the massacre of 30,000 of our brothers in summer of 1988. Wish these bastards who are on payroll by stinky mullahs had balls and enough courage to come forward and confess that they are selling their brothers and sisters for the money they're receiving from stinky mullahs. Wish......

In one of his interviews

by norooz on

In one of his interviews satttar said, I used to  go to the palace and sing for them. When you eat the namak, you shouldn't break the namakdoon!

When he was singing for them, they were robbing, torturing and murdering Iranians.  Sattar is proud of that.

So you see what I meant by namak and bone?

You know, Sattar

by Ari Siletz on

...a sincere requiem would have done. By the way, what's the deal with the disappearing and re-appearing tie; it's distracting.

Jonny Dollar

Neda = Shah's son? What planet is he from? Neda exploited!

by Jonny Dollar on

I don't think her family would appreciate this! Did he get a permission from her family to exploit her image? Typical!  As much as I felt bad for the poor guy dying soon, but comparing him to Neda is a little too far fetched. She was from a working class family working hard all her life with little money and suffering constantly under the regime in iran and lost her life by fighting against the regime! She died as an angel!!!

Now compare that with a multi-millionaire man living high class life in a very good neighborhood in the US, everything provided for him, not even a day of working who had some mental depression for whatever reason. he never suffered by living under the regime. Never fought against this regime!

God bless him, but where is the comparison? If Neda would have seen him before she became famous, probably he would have ignored her as a low caste whom he wouldn't even want to be associated with. BTW that goes for most of us here (except DK and a few others). They were from the God's family! Forgot?

I didn't know sattar was that Shahi! how much did he get paid for this? How this sattar is making these tragedies to a political statement! KH..  KHODETI SATTAR KHAN! $$$$$$$$  IT WAS ..... KNOWING YOU! btw DO YOU EVER SMILE OR OPEN YOUR EYES? YEAH, KEEP'EM CLOSED! YOU SHOULD!

"In the end, a man's life is measured not by what he has but by what he has given!"

Not a very subtle comparison on behalf of Sattar ...

by Darius Kadivar on

Not a very subtle comparison on behalf of Sattar. Nice melody and sincere lyrics with certainly noble intentions but inappropriate comparison which could have been expressed differently.

If anything both Ali Reza and Neda share one thing in common and that is that they belong to a sacrificed generation. Both deserved a more subtle tribute respecting their different yet equally dramatic deaths which has plunged their respective families and beyond into a painful grief.

Our soul thinks of Immortality.

No I don't think he's related Esfand

by AntiMozakhraf on

As I recall rumor was he was nailing Ashraf at some point (or she was nailing him more like)

Aghadaryoush & Deev, well said. Vaghean keh ina az roo nemirand. Even Neda pales next to the youth that deliberately rise against the regime knowing they will lose they lives, hala in ha in vassat vasseh khodeshoon marekeh gereftand. Veghahat kontor nadareh messinkeh.

Azarin Sadegh

Such a lovely song!

by Azarin Sadegh on

I understand the polemic around the lyrics, but I think both Neda and Alireza have been the victims of the Islamic Revolution.

Neda was a pure victim of IRI, since she died by accident...she hadn't even been part of the green movement...But Alireza chose to die because he couldn't see any light at the end of this dark tunnel of life, this life he was pushed in since 1979.

I think this song was a lovely song, and I love Sattar's voice.

A tune for mass burial in history

by comrade on

I don't know who is in charge of "Public Relations" for the distraught Pahlavi family, but I do know this stupid publicity stunt serves only as yet another nail to their coffin.

Never increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything.

Esfand Aashena

Sattar demands respect. He is that good.

by Esfand Aashena on

He is "comparing" the Pahlavi with the rest of the families.  Both families (Pahlavi and the rest) are screwed!  The only ones not screwed are the ones who are directly benefiting from Islamic Republic, i.e. Islamic radicals.

This is sort of like Elton John's English Rose that he sang for Princess Di.  You can't listen to it over and over but Sattar is Sattar, always good, always easy on the ears.

BTW isn't Sattar related to Pahlavis through marriage?

Everything is sacred

alireza

I think this was nice piece!

by alireza on

Who am I to criticize such a artistic work.

I think the referrals to silent cause, is a good reminder that psychological diseases like depression are there and killing many silently. And I like that he says he (Alireza) joined other young who went to the land that is difficult to return from.

overall, I feel it is good artistic work.

To Deev, I doubt that he intended to compare them. I mean Alireza and Neda. I feel despite writing such an informative piece (your article) you are not looking at many works without being biased!
