Vote: Sky of Red Poppies

"One Book, One San Diego" finalist

Dear friends, family, and esteemed supporters: As I write this, I can’t even try to mask my excitement over being a finalist in One Book One San Diego for 2012. The program has chosen my Sky of Red Poppies along with two great books. The final decision will be that of the public, who will have from today, June 28 at noon till August 3 to vote on line. www.kpbs.org/onebook. Having enjoyed your generous support, I hope you will take a moment to click your vote. Each single vote is as important as the next. I am honored to be nominated as that alone puts me side-by-side with such great authors. If you are in a position to encourage other readers, please do so and remember, each person can only vote once. It is only with your support that we may see my novel soar to the top and I thank you for it. All my best, Zohreh (Zoe) Ghahremani >>> Vote here

Last nite, I checked on Amazon, there is no summary of the book:

//www.amazon.com/Sky-Red-Poppies-Zohreh-Ghahremani/dp/0984571604/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1309619303&sr=8-1

It is better to have a summary of the story and get readers interested in the book!

I read a little bit of the book summary from one of readers' reviews.

good luck!

Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime

In April of 1979, a couple of buses loaded with Iranian students

by Everybody Loves Somebody ... on

on a day trip left Boston for New York City to vote for the form and constitution of the new government in Iran.

No one among the passengers including the American bus drivers had read or had any idea as to what they were voting for!?

Much to no one's surprise, the outcome of the vote counts (according to the staff at the Iranian consulate on the 4th/5th floor of the Rockefeller center) 99.9% voted for the Islamic Republic!

By no means I am trying to compare the IRR constitution to this book! All I am saying is that we haven't changed !We vote before we read!
