Quite a few Iranian nationals?
by Roger_Rabbit on Mon Jun 13, 2011 09:08 AM PDTWell Concubine jan for your info those Iranian nationals were ineed members of the Toodeh party's European chapter?
Obviosuly their DNA is still kicking LOL.
P.S.
by ComraidsConcubine on Mon Jun 13, 2011 06:42 AM PDTAs far as I know, quite a few Iranian nationals studied in the former "Eastern block", mainly for two very simple reasons: their chosen subject and the fact that it was cheaper.
She's spot on
by ComraidsConcubine on Mon Jun 13, 2011 06:22 AM PDTabout the bankers', the greatest state benefit scroungers ever, bail-outs, more disasters to come and self-interested (mostly big business supported by states) human rights blind-spots.
What Teheran Times ignores ....
by radius-of-the-persian-cat on Mon Jun 13, 2011 06:01 AM PDTI would never consider Teheran Times judgements serious. They are mainly propaganda. They "very wisely" ignore for instance that Mrs. Wagenknecht is among the most persistent critics of the economic links that exist between german industry and the IRI government. There were numerous blogs on this issue on IC. Mrs. Wagenknecht does not avoid any angry reactions from the establishment when she points again and again to the fact, that too often there are economic and financial interests that prevail an open judgement of human rights.
Whatever Mrs. Wagenknecht is cited for in Teheran Times, she never tried to defend the violations of human right in IRI.
Thanks for letting us know she has an iranian father. A shame they lost contact with each other. Maybe he would be proud of her today. She is a tough person, and intelligent enough to know that politics has a lot to do with long-term vision, but also with short-term alliances.
I don't understand the link to Mel Brooks Hitler persiflage ?

According to Tehran Times:
"...............Germany's Left Party Vice President Sahra Wagenknecht says Iran has never initiated a war during the whole modern history.
In modern history, Iran has never started any war and the 8-year war with Iraq was imposed on the country by executed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and under the auspices of Western governments, IRNA cited Wagenknecht as saying in an interview with German magazine, Juedische Allgemeine, on Saturday.
The German politician criticized the West's “double standards” and argued that while Western powers put pressure on Iran, they turn a blind eye to the “blatant violation of human rights in Saudi Arabia” and maintain the “best economic, political and military ties” with Ryidh and other authoritarian regimes in the Arab world.................."

Interesting!
by Immortal Guard on Sun Jun 12, 2011 01:19 PM PDTIt is quite interesting that the Iranians are populating the (extreme) left of the political spectrum in North-American and Western-European countries. Here is another example:

Long Live The Toodeh Party of Iran
by Roger_Rabbit on Sun Jun 12, 2011 11:58 AM PDTThey may not exist officially but their offsprings carry the torch - of course a Pahlavi foundation grant followed by a student confederation membership could have been helpful.
