When was Rajavi released from Shah's prison?
by Anahid Hojjati on Wed Jun 22, 2011 12:29 PM PDTAfter this thread, I became interested to Google Rajavi. It is long time that I have not read his life story. According to Wikipedia, it says that Rajavi was released three weeks before Feb 1979 revolution. I was actually at front of Ghasr prison when he was released, since we did not live far from there at that time. Wikipedia says that he was released by people. If I remember correctly, it was a while before Feb 1979 that he got released and it was by Shah's regime not by people. Yes, international pressure made Shah to release him and other political prisoners but it was not like that people stormed prison and released him. does any one have more info on his release?
I checked some more. I guess the guy was released only weeks before revolution. Goes to show you how much you forget about even historic days.
good catch yaar
