Ahmadi was STEALING Shajarian's song as his campaign song
by Esfand Aashena on Mon Mar 21, 2011 10:10 AM PDTAfter Shajarian's song (hamrah sho aziz) was stolen by Ahmadi and company as his campaign song Shajarian objected and asked several times not to use his song this way.
The true artists in Iran, be it poets or filmmakers or others, can't be silent to the brutal crackdown of Iranians. The generic artists who see art as their "business" keep making shallow art to please their paymasters but the true artists are silenced like the rest of the people.
Everything is sacred
Shajarian by HIS OWN request was cut off
by Jaleho on Mon Mar 21, 2011 10:01 AM PDTfrom people of Iran. When you are a SINGER who REQUESTS his voice not be used in TV and Radio of Iran, naturally he won't be heard by Iranians inside Iran as usual, doh!
He fought hard so they won't use his songs on Iranian communication channels and he got what he asked for. It seems that his political voice isn't as impressive as his singing voice in the dawn of Iranian revolution when he reflected the emotion of Iranian masses. That's how good people FADE: forgetting who they really are. Hope Shajarian continue with his artistic job as he's quite unique in what he's really good at.

Unprecedented
by Jahanshah Javid on Sun Mar 20, 2011 02:53 AM PDTAt first I thought why would a singer want to give a Norooz message? Then he spoke about being cut off from the public and...
This is truly amazing, how an artist of his stature is being put under pressure by the regime, probably after his interview calling for the separation of state and religion -- and of course his protest songs.
Good for him. Shame on them.
