Dear DM, I actually do not disagree with your comment :)
by Anahid Hojjati on Fri Mar 11, 2011 09:26 AM PSTIf i disagreed, that would be unreasonable. My point was about her honesty and the fact that in this particular case, it is an honesty that men find Ok to live with. Any way, important matter is that we both agree that honesty about sex is good for both men and women.

by Doctor mohandes on Fri Mar 11, 2011 09:12 AM PSTI don't mean to get into a head-butting match with you here, But that is what everyone woman ought to do and save men and themselves a lot of pain, time and emotional waste of energy!
It is not something that women would get rewarded for nor it is the thing that men warm up to!! Granted what see in our society, I can virtually claim that if there is anyone warming up to anything that would be women!!
I just don't understand why you think that If a women is being honest in this respect, that necessarily means that it is the men who is reaping all rewards, and it is her who is being shortchanged!!
Let me qualify myself
by Anahid Hojjati on Fri Mar 11, 2011 08:17 AM PSTUnfortunately or fortunately, I don't want to spend about 45 minutes watching videos of this honest Iranian. However, from comments, I get the impression that she is called honest because she is honest about wanting sex or something like that and does not play games about this. So this is a kind of honesty that not just Iranian men but all men can warm up to. This is non threatening honesty. If a woman showed an honety that was threatening to men and then you had men admiring her, then I get impressed about those men. Otherwise, bahbah and chahchah goften about a kind of honesty that if practiced by more women, will benefit men, that is natural.

by hamsade ghadimi on Fri Mar 11, 2011 08:04 AM PSTbahmani, i wasn't in on the secret that you mentioned, but it makes total sense to me now. i knew an iranian american woman who took shower before and after sex!
Vildemose, Iranian men are more
by Anahid Hojjati on Fri Mar 11, 2011 07:59 AM PSTDishonest than Iranian women. The reason they admire this lady is so they can get some action from her. Otherwise many Iranian men have no tolerance for seeing honesty especially if it makes them look bad. Then just watch how the woman gets treated.Women can be dishonest too but it seems that those who have more to lose are those who "have" to be more dishonest and usually Iranian men have more to lose. I am not denying that some Iranian women are dishonest too but guess who rewards the dishonesty in Iranian women?
SAM: Great info about her.
by vildemose on Fri Mar 11, 2011 07:29 AM PSTSAM: Great info about her. thank you for sharing. She is quite cerebral and extremely sharp. As she grows older, we will see greater work from her. Bein a woman myself, I can say, She is real and honest, a rarity among Iranian women.
Fantastic

Is this Sarvenaz?
by Sepah Salar on Fri Mar 11, 2011 12:05 AM PSTIf any of you read the sexual stories written by 'Sarvenaz' few years back on 'Iranian.com', you may also think that 'Sarvenaz' is really 'Roxana Shirazi.'
The one who may know of this fact is Jahanshah. I am really curious to know. The writing style is very similar.
I am sorry for what she went through her childhood, and proud of her for her positive attitude and her strength for living her life as she chooses so.
Thanks God....
by bahmani on Thu Mar 10, 2011 11:10 PM PSTThere is hope for the Iranian woman yet!
The Iranian woman is so worried these days, about being called "Slut", that they have [almost] entirely forgotten how good they are at it.
Thanks to Roxana for dispelling the myth and stereotype. Why are all the sexy Iranian women always called Roxana? Could it be our Roxanne?
Which brings up a secret amongst Iranian guys that possibly might be a mistake to mention in this mixed discussion but hey, Roxana started it, so here goes,
Q: "What's the difference between an American Woman and an Iranian woman?"
A: "An American woman showers before sex. An Iranian woman showers after."
This is what I heard, so don't shoot the messenger, and of course I would never repeat it...
Love you, am proud of you, have so much respect for you.....

No Faramarz dear: she is much more than that ... she is deep!
by Shazde Asdola Mirza on Thu Mar 10, 2011 08:20 PM PSTI listened to the whole thing, and can say that she is very deep and sophisticated. Yet, she is very sexual at so many levels.
She had very early exposure to sex (age 5 or so), which made her explore (first to her horror) the sexual dimension of life, so young and so early.
The young life in Iran (to age 10) made her also exposed to the core cruelties of post-revolution life ... family members imprisoned and tortured ... dealing with the prospect of death from bombing during war ... the inability and powerlessness of people to provide safety for themselves and their loved ones.
Her parents were so afraid of her security that they sent her to someplace, which they thought was safe ... Manchester, UK - with an anunt and uncle. However, those people were so poor and helpless in UK, that they couldn't fend for themselves, let alone a 10 year old girl. She used to go hungry and destitute regularly, and was finally given to the care of state, at some sort of foster care.
In the school, at the new town and within the foster care - as a young lost soul with no English language skills and being of a minority race - she was bullied and harassed everywhere. But two things kind of saved her soul ... her brains and her sexual drive.
She could get some college education and progress in the brainy life ... and at the same time she found solace and pleasure in a sort of childlish-refuge-seeking flight to the world of Sex and Rock.
The above points are the grim realities ... the rest is more fun filled, sex filled and adventure filled ... and you should read/listen for yourself buddy.

Can someone please summarize what she is trying to say?
Being a Groupie is not as glamorous as it seems. She has to do the whole band, the sound guys, the staff, the chef, the driver, the laundry guy, the makeup artist...!

Bad Stories for Bad Kids
read her book..was interesting in the begining
by Sheila K on Thu Mar 10, 2011 05:14 PM PST...but then it got boring as every chapter thereafter was about her groupie like activities and was very repetitive in story telling. I was kind of disappointed. I thought this was an opportunity in part to show what's like to be a young neglected girl in Iranian society and how she can be a pray to many many predators. She could've elaborated about her past and used it to connect to the society at large. However, the story was all about her!

by Monda on Thu Mar 10, 2011 04:08 PM PSTI like her because she sounds intelligent, good natured, real and articulate about her goals and ideas. If I were a man, I would love to at least meet her. As a woman, I so look forward to reading her book. Great post, thanks!
