by Tiger Lily on Thu Nov 24, 2011 06:10 AM PSTnext to it, there is another green tree.
one of them is darker green.
does that mean that the lighter green one is not green?
Or maybe it's not even a tree!

I am not surprised at all!
So Iraq is not on Iran's side? I am surprised!
Bravo UN for voting against the Islamist Fascists!
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Thu Nov 24, 2011 02:28 AM PSTI am happy with this very important vote against the Fascist Islamic Regime.
With all the focus and attention on IRI's attempts at aquiring nuclear bombs, the very seriously tragic human rights situation in Iran which is directly affecting our compatriots back home, was being ignored by the UN for quite some time.
I want more focus on human rights issue, the vast number of political prisoner's execution, torture, rape and all the rest of the crimes which are happening daily in known and unknown prisons of the Fascist islamist regime.

Something big is happening right before my eyes and i am too shallow to even fathom the possibility that it could amount to anything concrete. So kalll me shalooow:)

by Simorgh5555 on Wed Nov 23, 2011 11:59 AM PSTIf I can use a distasteful expression: the noose is tightening around the neck of this wretched cancerous parasitic evil regime. Human Rights and not the nuclear arms should be the reason for engaging in hoatilities against the IR.

by Arthimis on Wed Nov 23, 2011 10:18 AM PSTThis is an Iranian Site and about issues that are directly concerning Iran & Iranians!!!
It's bewildering that everytime any issue about Human Rights in Iran is raised, there are individuals who immidiately change the subject to "Human Rights" issues about other countries!!!
No body in the right mind is denying those facts, but if you are Iranian and truly claim that you have the best intention in your hearts and minds, then YOU MUST THINK, FIND SOLUTIONS AND ACT ON YOUR OWN BEHALF FIRST, before worrying about other countries and nations!!!
It's ABSURD to always blame others and compare this with that... This technique has been mastered by Islamic Republic for 33 years and no one falls for it anymore! You must think Iranian people are idiots!! Well, they are not !!! They are just defenseless against this regime's aggressions and crimes against humanity and waiting for support & sympathy from the rest of the world and other TRUE Iranians in particular to finally Free themselves!!! For love of God, and in the name of humanity , You as an Iranian and human being can help or sabotage the whole process! The choice is yours!!! Can you live with yourself and look yourself in the mirror with the right conscience & peace of mind or not?
Let's take care of our own people's problems & in our own back yard first, before worrying for others & worse getting ourselves involved with the crimes of others in this region and the world!!!! This has been Islamic Republic's policy, so if you follow that instead of Iranian's Human Rights, you are nothing but an agent or direct supporter of one of the worst Regimes with Human Rights records in the history of mankind called : Islamic Republic!!!
As plus, Faramarz correctly & comically put it here, those countries who have voted against , have all the worst human right records themselves and/or are in serious business relations with I.R. and benefiting big time ... So please , spare us with all your non-senses about others, Concentrate and Focus on Iran & Iranian Human Rights First!!!

Human Rights violation in Iran….
by Bavafa on Wed Nov 23, 2011 08:20 AM PSTHas been systematic and IRI has been committing those crimes without any impunity. It is long overdue for the international community to recognize and condemn such violations and practices. Although this maybe more symbolic than otherwise, it is a good news specially for those whose rights has been violated repeatedly by IRI.

by Faramarz on Wed Nov 23, 2011 08:18 AM PSTIn the same session they had a similar resolutions that covered Syria, Burma and N. Korea with the same results.
But to your point, a large number of the countries in the above list have terrible human rights record. That's why they all voted against it.
And faramarz
by Abarmard on Wed Nov 23, 2011 08:07 AM PSTYou should wonder why those countries that have far worse human rights record than Iran don't have draft resolution against them! Things that make you say hmm ;)
Great news
by farokh2000 on Wed Nov 23, 2011 07:26 AM PSTThere is no question that the criminal Mullahs have violated every aspect of the Human Rights since they were brought in by CIA in 1979.
At the same time, this is the same United Nations Human Rights that did nothing and said nothing about U.S.A's invasion, occupation and murder of innocent people of Iraq and Afghanistan?
I guess those innocent people had no Human Rights!?
I am sure United Nations has a ton of credibility left in the eyes of the World.
