An Erroni Michael Moore from Tehranjles? About time,
by Mash Ghasem on Sun Nov 06, 2011 08:49 AM PSTGod da...
The beginning was almost straight out of a spicyjihad cartoon. Seated on the same Love Seat, and asking the interviewer: what would you like to talk about? While erasing his films recording the interview at the same time, then messing with the sound. What do they call this in English: Sending smoke up your a..?
Had a hard time stop laughing.
His reply about being in compliance with the laws and...not to be missed.
Where's part 2? Has Michael Moore seen this? Good stuff.
Only in Tehrangeles...

Interesting But Canal hayeh Hezby ? Kodom Hezb ?
by Darius Kadivar on Sat Nov 05, 2011 07:39 PM PDTThese Channels run by a bunch of Bazaris did the worst service to the cause of Constitutionalist Monarchists or anyone who claimed to be part of the opposition because they beamed into Iran trying to speak in our name for the past 2 to 3 decades.
Even Bakhtiar slammed at them at the time for distorting and sending the wrong signals as to the reality of the Political landscape in the Diaspora:
Shapour Bakhtiar responds to Limonadi on the issue of democracy and slams LA TV’s in the process
I don't recall seeing such unprofessional Junk on Iranian TV during the Shah's time at all ...
Too see the Vast Contrast between this junk and what we had in Iran prior to the Revolution here are Just a few examples of What Iranian TV during the Shah's Era looked like:
Women's Talk Show with Jaleh Kazemi and Singer Parissa (1978)
International Television News by Suzie ziai
Suzie Ziai - Iran
GENUINE TV Professional and Talent Seeker
Fereydoun Farokhzad singing in French with Martik & Ebi
Fereydoun Farokhzad speaks on Vietnam with Shohreh Solati on Iranian TV 1970’s
Fereydoun Farokhzad Show ba Hamid Shabkhiz
Yade Iran bekheir Farrokhzad
Not only these LA Channels reflected the wrong image of life and values during Pahlavi Era but totally distorted the image of Iranians in America and the Diaspora at large.
One of the reasons the likes of Fereidoun Farrokhzad got frustrated with this lot and left America for good was that many of these pseudo artists only seeked at making a quick buck.
The cheapest exiled former film actor who had a small reputation during the Pahlavi era would end up running a million dollar start up TV thinking he or she could do what TV professionals could do during the Shah's era forgetting that the formers truly knew their craft.
As a matter of fact that is one of the Reasons the kids of some of the former TV professionals and genuine actors before the Revolution went on to make their own Channels such as Kayvan Abbasi ( whose step father is Manouchehr Vossough) who started off his own Online TV : BEBIN TV
Bebin TV Interview of Manouchehr Vossough
Kayvan Abbasi learned his craft as producer first on Azadi TV which closed down before going on to truly learn how professional TV works on American TV Channels.
The experience now has allowed him to be one of the most professional and successful Iranian TV producers in ... London !
Where Kayvan set up his own Satellite TV MANOTO with whom I had the honor on working on a few documentaries like these ones:
THE COURT JESTER AND I: With Mansour Bahrami on the Set of Manoto's "Welcome to My Life"
MAZEH PARIS: With Ali Tavassoli on Manoto TV's "Welcome To My Life"
WAR IN ART: With Ghass Roozkhosh on Manoto TV's "Welcome To My Life"
So has my brother Cyrus:
VIDEO: Manoto TV's Documentary on the Persepolis Celebrations of Oct 1971
In other words most of these cheap LA TV's represented no one but themselves and apart from one or two interviews they managed to have with the Pahlavi Family be it the Shahbanou or Crown Prince Reza in their pioneering days in order to promote themselves and their channel they were never taken seriously by any Political party in the Diaspora.
None of these folks are members of the Constititional Party of Iran for instance which is the only political formation officially recognized by Monarchists and founded by the late Daryoush Homayoun:
Daryoush Homayoun: Freedom of Press During Pahlavi Era Vs. IRI Era
apart from Andisheh or Pars TV which try hard to make ends meet with serious interviews but little financial means few of these channels actually have been in touch with the Monarchists or Royal Family which try to ignore them for good reason.
If these Channels ever were Hezby it was the Hezb of Unprofessional Wannabe TV producers.
Their is No Secret to making Good TV ... You just need to be Good !
Easier said than done !
N'est Ce Pas MONSIEUR Badiyi ?
THE LAST TYCOON: In Tribute to Reza S. Badiyi (1930-2011)
THE LAST TV TYCOON: Interview with Legendary director REZA BADIYI by Darius KADIVAR & Parisa DEFAIE
