Saudi Ambassador is as intelligent as Taareg Aziz or
by Disenchanted on Thu Oct 13, 2011 07:04 PM PDTSeif al Islam Ghadafi or Javad Larijani! The hell with all of them and their intelligence!
The Saudi Ambassador!
by G. Rahmanian on Thu Oct 13, 2011 06:59 PM PDTThe Saudi Ambassador Is an extremely intelligent individual and well-versed in the world affairs. That is not the issue, here. As I said on the first day I heard the news, had the plot been successful, his assassination would have caused great chaos in the region. Regime's authorities in Tehran are desperate to create such chaos and provoke a war, believing a war can save their murderous rule. But they are wrong. Times have changed. This is not thirty-three years ago. We saw how people showed their hatred for the regime. Of course, even days prior to the protests by millions of Iranians in June of 2009, regime's apologists and paid agents were saying how popular Ahmadinejad and the whole regime were. IR's days are numbered with or without a war.
Car salesman can't be IRI terrorists, but grocers can?
by AMIR1973 on Thu Oct 13, 2011 06:31 PM PDTOne of the IRI killers who was convicted for the Mykonos attack in Germany was a grocer, Kazem Darabi -- so what is this business that the RI wouldn't go through a car salesman? (I guess grocers are just so much more qualified. Whatever.)...And BTW, the ambassador of many countries to the U.S. is one of the most important positions in their foreign policy establishment -- so let's not pretend this Saudi individual is a nobody. He is clearly a very important target.

by Faramarz on Thu Oct 13, 2011 06:08 PM PDTThe money came from a Sepah account in a third country (not disclosed, but will come out soon, a place like Dubai or Malaysia) and went through a New York bank to get to the drug dealer's account. It came in two payments of over $49k. Usually, people make one payment first and see what happens to it and then they make the second one.
Normally, a wire transfer of over $10k to the US generates a notice to the Treasury Department, but since this whole operation was monitored by FBI, DEA and Treasury, they obviously let it go to the informant's account.
Arbabsiar triggered the wire transfer by telling his handler Shakuri on the phone that, "The Chevrolet is ready!" He also offered himself as a collateral in Mexico City to make sure that the balance will be paid once the operation has been done.
The IRR's timer is expired! It's time for it to go! Get with it!

Of course Iranians are denying this plot
by asadabad on Thu Oct 13, 2011 05:21 PM PDTBecause they're a party to the outcome. Their analysis will never be accurate because they're concerned about collateral damage in Iran as a result of any Iran-US war. So even though they don't like the IRI they'll downplay or deny the terrorist nature of the Iranian regime in order to save their relatives at home.
Soosan Khanoom,
by iraj khan on Thu Oct 13, 2011 04:44 PM PDTYou have good points here when you say:
"they have no problem to find someone in Iran, at any level, to spy for them and further more use that spy in order to get this plot look more serious".
Also, I noticed Trita Parsi in his lastest interview with Ms Assemie (it was posted last weekend) had mentioned U.S. congress is cooking a new sets of sanctions against Iran. This could be related to what is being decided in congress unfortunately.
So the argument is that IRI has 100% success rate?
by AMIR1973 on Thu Oct 13, 2011 04:18 PM PDTAnd therefore since this plot didn't succeed then it couldn't possibly be the IRI. After all, the IRI doesn't kill their target 9 times out of 10, but 10 times out of 10 (i.e. a 100% rate of success!). That's a great argument.
(Of course, if there was an attack the same people would be arguing that the IRI could not possibly be involved since the IRI does not do such things, etc).
Iraj .... I am sure those who have managed
by Soosan Khanoom on Thu Oct 13, 2011 04:04 PM PDTto kill the Iranian scientists have no problem to find someone in Iran, at any level, to spy for them and further more use that spy in order to get this plot look more serious... I probably will not be surprised if actually there is such a person inside Iran ... And Obama is not falling for anything. He just follows AIPAC order.. The thing is they do not have to go that far, especially in such a humiliating way, in order to prove to the world that Iran is a terrorist regime. IRI's foreign policy has already qualified Iran to be a terrorist anyway. I am not sure what more they want. This shows that how desperate they have become.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Thu Oct 13, 2011 03:59 PM PDTAre both clearly on the side of IRI. I do not know why but they support it. She is not stupid and has her reasons. I do not trust her. But it does not matter what she says. The main issue is money and resources for USA.
Money and resources are needed for a war against IRI. Plain and simple where do you get it? Maybe this is a set up to scare the Saudi into paying for it. I really don't know what is going on. But I do know that Americans are reluctant to bankroll another war.
This is really getting ridiculous!
by Immortal Guard on Thu Oct 13, 2011 03:53 PM PDTIs that all creative political minds can come up with?
I didn't expect this from
by iraj khan on Thu Oct 13, 2011 03:52 PM PDTPresident Obama!
This is a FARCE.
I expected him to be more intelligent and not play this game.
Now all Iranian Americans are going to be looked upon as 'suspicious'.

by tabriz_balasi on Thu Oct 13, 2011 02:34 PM PDTYou missed her point. Her point was that if Iran wanted to do a hit job then it would succeed and you just proved her point by listing all of iran's past hit job success stories. just because we are against the islamic repubic doesn't mean we have to forced ourselves to be stupid retards. this story that came out about iran trying to kill the saudi prince sounds fake from start to end. why would any one believe it. irans regime has proven to be smart and effective when it comes to destoying its enemies, be its own people (e.g., green movement, lefties, mojahedeen, spies) or foreigners (iraq, israel, US). do we want islamic republic, NOOOO, hell NOOOO. are they stupid, NOOO. Are they smart, unfortunately, YES.

Queen of the fools
by asadabad on Thu Oct 13, 2011 01:01 PM PDTHere's the jist of what she says, "Ive spoken to Iranian officials and based on what they've said, they would never do anything like this."
Has it occured to her that those Iranian officials were lying? How could she be so naive. How is this terror plot a "signifigant departure for the Iranian government"?
1979-Assault on American embassy and hostages taken.
1980-Assasination of Ali Akbar Tabatabaie in Bethesda, Maryland.
1989-Assasination of Abdul Rahman Ghassemlou in Vienna.
1983-Bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon.
1983-Bombing of the American embassy in Lebanon.
1983-Bombing of the American embassy in Kuwait.
2003 to Present-Launching rockets into the American embassy in Iraq.
Does this plot really sound like a departure for the regime? It makes perfect sense. They want to show the Saudis who's boss. It's a good way to intimidate the Saudis into backing down in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, etc.
