Khamenei: Don't make a fuss

Swiftly and firmly punish those responsible for bank scam, he says

AFP: Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Monday called on politicians and the media to refrain from "making a fuss" over a $2.6 billion banking scam, state television reported. "Some people are seeking to use this (scam) as an excuse to bash the authorities," Khamenei said in televised comments. "The media has covered the issue and that is fine, but they should not drag on... and to continue to make such a fuss and uproar (which) is not in the interests" of the country, Khamenei added >>>

Yes in all fairness, it starts by focusing on shutting up the media, and at the end says, have no mercy on these guys.   Except in his system, when he said, there were crimes committed (Kahrizak), Mortazavi who was the main implementor of his own Fatva and threat to blind the eyes of "Fetneh" got promoted.   Who do you think will get promoted, due to this one calling for punishing the corrupt?

Interesting how he spins the white-wash of this colossal fiasco into a favour to people! He demands calm and quiet for the officials to do their jobs, while it was the calm and quiet that provided his officials the opportunity to rob the people blind in the first place! One can only imagine how the masses of people who lost their life savings are going to deal with the "fuss!"
