Are you
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Oct 26, 2011 04:32 PM PDTgoing to turn this into a discussion of Shah. I am not taking the bait. Fine you are all right MG; Bavafa go for it. Whatever you say. I am sick of arguing with you and MG on one end; 2050 on another.
And Amirparviz on the third. IC has some of the least informed most biased people I have met. If this is what Iran has got we are ***. I hope that IC is not representative of Iranians in general.
Oh sure peace and propsperity means nothing. Let more people be vanished. Why not you "won" got your revoution and democracy. Good for you bad for people like Goudarzi.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Oct 26, 2011 10:16 AM PDTI am out of here but will respond to MG. Yes I took orders from the Shah. In return Iran got 38 years of peace and prosperity. It you would do that for Iran I would listen to you as well.
You just have a problem with community organizing and community support, and would go through any length to actually avoid it.
I have no idea what in the world you are talking about. Go organize why should I get in your way. I said it you make a petition I will sign it with my real name. And will get another bunch of people to sign it as well for all the good it does.
Dear Anahid
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Oct 26, 2011 10:13 AM PDTI already suggested to start a petition and I will sign it alright? Do you have any other ideas I am all ears. Really if you know of anything else to do let me know. You want me to write my congressman I will.
Regarding the other stuff I disagree that it is not respectful. I deeply respect all Iranian freedom activists. My point about "an ounce" of prevention is valid. The publisher of IC will speak for himself.
We got too many people speaking for others. I got Amirparviz telling me what to think. You did not like that very much when he told you did you? I respect you and your right to speak and would request the same to be given to me.
You took orders from shah
by Mash Ghasem on Wed Oct 26, 2011 09:53 AM PDThence your inconsistency. If you were in Iran when they had that Rasakhiz of a joke, whether you liked or not you had to take orders, or else.
You just have a problem with community organizing and community support, and would go through any length to actually avoid it.

by Anahid Hojjati on Wed Oct 26, 2011 09:54 AM PDTdear VPK, so much of this website has your comments and some are good but some of your comments don't add to discussion or divert the attention to something that is out of our hands. Shah has been gone for more than 30 years and we have a criminal regime that we need to get rid of. There are prisoners that many of us are concerned about. So on a blog about Iranian of the day, maybe we should respect the fact that publisher of the site and others think of this as an extremly important issue. Opening the can of worm of Shah's regime is not respectful of most readers of thi sblog who want to read about this issue.
I don't take orders
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Oct 26, 2011 09:38 AM PDTThe topic is the disappearance of an Iranian man. A person who was active in fighting for freedom. It is very relevant to talk about how we got here. It is like discussion lung cancer but leaving out smoking. Duh?
An ounce of prevention is what I am talking about. If we don't learn from history we will repeart it. One day IRI is going to go and be replaced. If we don't get our act together it will be just as bad. But I guess I am not allowed to talk about that.
Now to the "topic". Alright get a petition going I will sign it. But Khamenei is not known for his generosity. Now we get to beg IRI to spare a man's life. How about the other thousands?
MG part 2
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Oct 26, 2011 10:06 AM PDTit was the most repressive situation you could imagine, but because your parents' had their bussiness and life was good for you and your type, heck with the rest.
Most repressive? How about IRI; do you say it was worse than IRI or Soviet Union for that matter. You just said "the most repressive". How was it so repressive would you please tell me. Yes if MEK wanted to blow up a place they got it and hard. But how was is that Dariush and Farhad got to sing non stop criticisms? Do people get to do that now? Shame on people who try to re-write history.
I deeply resent your implication that I do not care about Iranian people. My parents business provided badly needed jobs. After the revolution instead of taking the money and running off we paid their wages. It was thanks to the IRI policies that we had to shut down. Because they confiscated our business. It is hard to pay your employees when the government shuts down your business. But we paid them until the last "gheroon" in our business account.
VPK listen to AH's advise and stay on topic

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Oct 26, 2011 09:15 AM PDTDo you deny 38 years of peace? Yes my parents had their business and employed a number of people. Better than JM and MEK who plotted to bomb people and wreck Iran. I have nothing to be ashamed of.
I told you already that Shah made a lot of mistakes some of which you mention. Do you agree people who replaced him with Khomeini were mistaken.
Once I saw the hostage taking. The war and how Khomeini deliberately extended it. Rejoicing in the death of Iranian youth that woke me up. Are you wake? The man was ill and badly so with Farah having too much influence. Yes he messed up but what do you want him to do. Stay like Ghaddafi and kill people? He was damned if he listened and damned if he did not. Because Marxists; JM and Melli Mazhabi had it in for him. Assisted by BBC and other assholes spreading lies.
At some point in your life you need to wake up and smell the coffee. Every single thing that happened to shah was all due to his own flakey disposition and stupid mistakes, including but not limited to:
I woke up about 30 years ago. Before that I was blind to how good we had it. Who burned Cinema Rex and blamed it on the Shah. Did any of these revolutionaries think Shah has no motive to do this? No of course not they thought Shah is some kind of vampire. Oh we had one it just wasn't the Shah.
It sounds like you were not in support of the revolution. If so you have nothing to feel bad about. If you were then respectfully I say it was a mistake.
VPK you should be very sorry for yourself, being so ignorant of
by Mash Ghasem on Wed Oct 26, 2011 08:53 AM PDTIranian history under shah. It wasn't just Rastakhiz, or SAVAK, or Sepah Mazhab, or Hojatieh being helped by SAVAK, it was the most repressive situation you could imagine, but because your parents' had their bussiness and life was good for you and your type, heck with the rest.
At some point in your life you need to wake up and smell the coffee. Every single thing that happened to shah was all due to his own flakey disposition and stupid mistakes, including but not limited to:
promotion of Shia in Iran (all those Mehdeih, and Hossaineh and Masjid and tekkieh,..)
publishing that stupid letter and making Khomeini a super star over night,
and the stupidest one of all coming to national tv and telling the country: " I have heard the sound of your revolution," without a single contingency plan as to how to deal with it.
This list could eb expanded to an eight volumes book.
So all of that was nothing, all but a figment of our imagination.
And what does any of this has to do with defending political prisoners today? Just any old excuse to get away from doing community work and defending the folks who are in jail.
Again I ask
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Oct 26, 2011 08:35 AM PDThow many revolutionaries are ready to admit they made a mistake? Or do we get more blogs about what a horrible tyrant Shah was. Are people willing to admit they screwed up big time.
If not for the damned revolution this would not happen. He would be free and most of us be in Iran right now. Not to mention millions of people who died in the war. Or due to poverty and lack of various basic necessities.
But no Shah had come up with Rastakhiz and had to go. We shot ourselves in the head. The minimum is to admit our mistake and say "I am sorry" may he rest in peace. A peace he gave us for 38 years and got repaid with ingratitude.
