Khomeini:"WAR IS A BLESSING"

by bache_abadani on

AMIR1973 is right. Khomeini many times said that war is a blessing. And yes 90% of our soldiers who died in the war was after June 1982 which all of Iran's occupied territories were liberated. Government reported around 30,000 death from Iraq's invasion to June 1982. we lost hundreds of thousands more by the time war was ended.Every single of them were patriot and will be remembered forever.

I agree with Ahmed from Bahrain " ordinary Iranians rose to defend their land regardless who would have been in power".

We lost our house in Abadan ! I lost family members and friends. The worst case scenarios involved the chemical attacks by Saddam's forces.

AMIR1973

Trying to whitewash Khomeini's/IRI's responsibility

by AMIR1973 on

It's only natural that certain folks have an Orwellian wish to erase all of the words and deeds that Khomeini and his regime were responsible for (calling the war a "blessing" when it began; insisting that the war continue until the IRI could "liberate" Karbala and from there to Qods; and then only ending the war with extreme reluctance -- Khomeini's famed "poisoned chalice", etc). The vast majority of the death and destruction occurred after 1982, i.e. after the liberation of Khorramshahr and after Iraq had offered terms favorable to Iran for ending the war. In true "1984" fashion, Khomeini's "blessing" of a war has been transformed into the "Imposed War". Yeah, right!

Pendar-e toudeh, don't be a hypocrite

by Anonymous Observer on

Iran is your "only home?"  In blod too, no less! So, what are you doing sitting in the West writing charandiyat on IC and stalking Fred?  It looks to me as if YOU have "another home."

Now, to prove you're not a hypocrite (or a liar for that matter) please pack up your stuff and move your good self back to your "only home."  But in light of Toudeh's treachory against Iranians in the past, we won't just take you word that you will do so.  You will have to post a copy of your flight ticket (or a boat ticket, as the case may be) with your picture, along with your household items, getting on that plane, or boat, returning to your "only home."

PS- on anothe note, you may want to wait for IR's "fleet" to get to U.S. shores so that you can hitch a ride back with them to your "only home."  It will save you some money.  You know the one I'm talking about, right?  The one that you were salivaing over.

This make me sick, What hero?

by عموجان on

We had a fully trained, fully equipped and professional Army, Navy and most important of them all an Air force that kicked ass of any body has border with Iran. But they started executing them from day one they took power till after the war ended just because they were part of the old regime. Where are their recognitions?

If it wasn’t for IRIF coming out of IR jails and did what they were good at, that war would have ended in few days with Iraq as the winner.

I am not buying it. Those who want to kiss Mr. Doberman’s ass (Khomeini) please do so, but don’t tell me these idiots who know only way to fight is to ran over mind fields and call them self heroes. As we know, they are Arabs who running the country now. These people fight for Islam not Iran,I don't call them hero.

Why Mr. Doberman couldn’t go to the hospital and visit them, look like there are only five of them, Was it to risky for him?

Oh Man! I always feel

by Kooshan on

Oh Man! I always feel humility seeing these heroes and calling myself Iran-lover. We owe every inch of Iran for the sacrifice of these heroes.

God bless them and hope they don't get exploited for political measures!

Ahmed from Bahrain

Pendarenik. Well said

by Ahmed from Bahrain on

Everything MRX1 has said here could be siad about America 100x more. Let me recount the IF's.

If America had not supported Saddam and emboldened him and if Sauda Arabia had not pumped all that cash into Saddam's cophers, Khomeini would not have retaliated. Ordinary Iranians rose to defend their land regardless who would have been in power.

Kudos to those Iranians who gave their lives for the their independance. Please don't knock them, some were young, some were old, some were un educated. America has taken advantage of such-like people and those vets are in the same predicament.

What we can do is make war illegal. There is no just war. By definition it is violent and robes the innocent of life. The blame today squarely falles on funders of such violence.

This old dithery man is just soothing his own conscious which is more than what Rumsfeld did recently when the widow of a vet gently confronted him after signing his book for her.

War-mongers are brushed with the same tar.

پندارنیک

Of wars...

by پندارنیک on

One thing is for certain: If it was not for the sacrifice and extraordinary heroism of every single of these fellow citizen, then there would've never been an Iran to be loved by us as our "only home", or to be hated by our foes whose heart is with their other home... By the way, a war in defence of the homeland has never been a war of choice......for that kind of rhetoric, the speaker has to wait for some shell-shocked-brain audience..........

Arj

Perfect citizens!

by Arj on

These are the the examples of the perfect citizens Khamenei wishes to set for the entire population of Iran! They pose no threat, don't talk back and wouldn't care were their votes end up!

vildemose

How often does he do that??

by vildemose on

How often does he do that?? I hope he is not getting people ready for another useless war of choice. Haven't you and "your God" led enough people to the slaughter?

MRX1

You got to love it

by MRX1 on

They sent these people by thousends to a war, ruined their life, their family,  their health, left them crippled, pennyless and poor while they looted treasurey and gave it to their pals in Palestine, lebonan or stored it in their own accounts in dubai canada or some infidle country out there.

Reminds of you that saying: in a war stupid people get killed, smart people become rich!
