In “September 11,” the exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art’s PS1 on the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, only one piece, a collage by Ellsworth Kelly, directly refers to the event. “In a sense,” says curator Peter Eleey, in an interview with Voice of America’s New York reporter Behnam Nateghi, “the interesting thing about art is how it’s meaning changes over time.” Most of the pieces gathered at PS1 to tell the story of the attacks, the horror, violence and destruction that occurred on that day, have been made by artists years before September 11.
