Reuters: Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad urged Muslim countries to show greater unity ahead of a summit of Muslim leaders this week expected to focus on the crisis in Syria. Ahmadinejad, speaking to reporters before he departed for Mecca to meet with leaders of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) states, said the emergency meeting would be a chance for Iran to express its opinions, though he did not say specifically which issues Iran would discuss >>>

Thank you for your post! Wow! So they had the advanced info about the potential earthquakes, but did not pass on the info to the residents! What a shame!
I almost forgot to mention that IRI is xenophobic 'cause they don't let "foreigners" help with the rescue operations! I guess IRI is very insecure! They are afraid that Zionists can penetrate the country and sabotage their nuclear facilities! That is my guess!

He can go where ever he wants to go now, but prity soon, his options are going to be limited, and he will be hunted by our people, and hanged like an animal that he is along with his master "Ali choolagh".

thank you for all that you are doing and all of your endeavors. you know precisely how to deal with these types. so i won't need to remind you.
It may not matter now, as it may not have mattered back then either, that As it was posted in one of the clips right here, that right after the interview with the dr. boss of the office of crisis managment was over, the host said something about the fact that it had been reported that this particular fault was seen to begin to become active over almost 8 months ago and both Majlis and the admins. were notified but they did not do jack about it.
Like i said , it might not have amounted to much anyway, but still...you could tell and see, what goes on in here. They report on their own incompetence and lack of takingdecisive actions ...yet it all falls on deaf ears and bearded faces!
I so agree with your comment.

(Reuters) - Iran's government faced criticism on Monday over its response to two earthquakes that killed 306 people, with complaints of a lack of tents and about President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's decision to go ahead with an overseas trip.
Although officials announced on Sunday, less than 24 hours after disaster struck, that search and rescue operations had finished and all survivors had been freed from the rubble, some locals expressed disbelief that authorities could have reached the most remote villages so soon.
The moderate conservative newspaper Asr-e Iran reported that a full 24 hours after the earthquake, some villages had not yet been visited by relief teams.
"(Residents) say that most of the villages have been destroyed and still no tents have been sent, nor has any help been sent for the victims," the paper said.

by ham1328 on Mon Aug 13, 2012 04:31 PM PDTIt shows how disgusted we all are with IRI. Had this earthquake hit Hezbollah in Lebonan, you would have seen thousands of rescuer sent there, along with equipments, dogs, doctors, medics and Billions of $. But since it hit Iran, the president is off to S.A. What a joke to call this a government.

Usually if there is a big earthquake, the athority will dig for survivors for at least a week . They use sniffing dogs and infrared heat sensors to look for survivors.
On the contrary, IRI called off the search operation less 24 hours after the 2 earthquakes. Their search is perfunctory at best! It is absolutely shocking! I read in the news that some villages have not been reached by rescuers yet!
Mother nature is so cruel to Iranians and so is IRI regime!
Here is the sobering statistics on earthquakes in Iran:
Damghan earthquake of year 856 killed 200,000 people!
Ardabil earthquake of year 893 killed 150,000 people!
Tabriz earthquake of 1042 killed 40,000 people!
Tabriz earthquake of year 1727 killed 77,000 people!
Kashan earthquake of year 1755 killed 40,000 people!
Manjil-Rudbar earthquake of 1990 killed 40,000 people!
Bam earthquake of 2003 killed 30,000 people!

by Faramarz on Mon Aug 13, 2012 10:53 AM PDTAs Mahmoud Ghaffari mentioned, the President of a country always rushes to the disaster area and uses his high office to cut through the bureaucracy and get things done. Not the case with the Islamic Republic!
On top of that, because they don't want to expose their incompetence and lack of care to the outside world, they have been rejecting assistance from Turkey, Germany and the International Red Cross.
Instead, their stooges in the west are using the sanctions to once again blame the US and the west for their incompetence.

You know why Mahmoud Ghaffari?
by Anonymous Observer on Mon Aug 13, 2012 02:43 PM PDTYou know why he's traveling to SA when there's an earthquake to deal with in Iran? Just listen to his speech for the answer. Earthquake in Iran and he travels abroad!!!!
by mahmoudghaffari on Mon Aug 13, 2012 12:07 PM PDTIt is a custom among the civilized world that when a natural calamity hits the country the leaders postpone and or return from foreign trips to tend to this emergency. Leave it to an Islamic state and in particular the Islamic morons ruling Iran to travel abroad en masse (President, The Secretary fo State, and a few ministers). This shows the desperation of the regime goons to want to save their own skin ahead of Syria's. Little they know Syria's "Asad" is finished to be followed soon by the Islamic Rapists of Iran.
