Reza: A Holy Month in Maine

Ramadan for two Muslims in America

Reza is an Iranian immigrant who wrote a children's book about Ramadan celebrations in Maine. During this time of the year, he remembers his homeland. Sayid is a Somali refugee, running a bookstall in Lewiston, Maine. He lives away from his wife and daughter, which make it particularly difficult to celebrate Ramadan. These two characters come together to share their experiences with observing Ramadan in Maine.

Eternal curse be upon those who instigate civil wars in Sudan, as well as other Muslem countries for the benefit of the filthy Zionists, the enslavers(?), the abusers, the exploiters of our honorable Jewish brothers and sisters...Unite my Muslim brothers and sisters, unite....The Day of Holy Freedom is not far off........
