New York Times: Making his first visit to Iran as United Nations secretary general, Ban Ki-moon met with four members of the country’s hierarchy on Wednesday, including the supreme leader, in sessions that Mr. Ban’s spokesman described as “very serious meetings” that addressed the disputed Iranian nuclear program, the Syria conflict, human rights problems and what he called the leadership’s objectionable comments about Israel. There was no mention in Iranian accounts of Mr. Ban’s criticism of Iran’s human rights record or the comments about Israel by the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and others >>>

by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on Thu Aug 30, 2012 09:48 PM PDTConsidering the extent of Human Rights Crimes by the IRI against Iranians.
On: There was no mention in Iranian accounts of Mr. Ban’s criticism of Iran’s human rights record.... Yes that would be because we are experiencing a freedom of expression problem with the IRI which could not exist if it did not suppress Iranians in all areas and use brutal repression.
About time ....

Just wondering if IRI is still excited that Ban ki-moon came to the NAM meeting?
Excellent! Live Action!
by Esfand Aashena on Thu Aug 30, 2012 06:19 AM PDTBan Ki Moon is THE man to sit down with Khamanei and company and give it to them straight, in person! Live Action!
Mr. Ban’s spokesman described as “very serious meetings” that addressed the disputed Iranian nuclear program, the Syria conflict, human rights problems and what he called the leadership’s objectionable comments about Israel.
Mullahs have a habit of going on and on forever and talk in 3rd person. I think this may be the first time someone has given it to Khamenei in person. This is especially great since they made such a HUGE fuss of advertising Ban Ki Moon is coming to Iran for the NAM meeting, when US and Israel were criticizing his travel plans.
Khamenei thinks no one is supposed to respond in kind to his garbage sermons or no one is supposed to criticize him and we all know what has happened to the Iranians who have criticized him in Iran. Now comes the UN Chief and his in your face response, in Iran, in Person! Live Action!
Everything is sacred
Ludicrous
by Fred on Thu Aug 30, 2012 06:00 AM PDTIslamist Rapists just made their barbaric law the permanent law of the land. When you have limb chopping, eye gouging and lashing as law, talking about human rights is just ludicrous.
Regime change is the only way out.
