SK the True role of the West is very important and not to be
by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on Wed Dec 05, 2012 12:11 PM PSTglossed over.
When Chemical Weapons are used by a Country, which at the time was an ally of the West in meeting the Wests Interests and then the West continues to help their Ally attain the deadly materials for producing even more chemical weapons After knowing how they are USED on innocent people, it gives one everything they need to reflect on the west, western version of democracy, their human rights in action and their sincere wishes for others.
When we hear that after the popular uprising against the IRI the West Provides the regime with the software they need to track down the physical location of the planners and organizers of protests, to help the IRI cherry pick and capture human rights activists, it sadly goes beyond the scope and mind of most Iranians as to what the west wants for Iran. Meanwhile people are fully deceived about the late shah and his team 33 years later.
The greater tragedy is that people get all their information from 1) pseudo intellectuals who are employed by Ivy league universities and top brand name institutions to more effectively manipulate others and misrepresent the truth, 2) the radio and television which are busy defending the interests of the same people that control the minds of many 3) and popular Books from the local book store. So almost no primary research is done.
Doesn't matter
by MRX on Wed Dec 05, 2012 09:46 AM PSTwho provide whom with what. so if some one give me gun legaly or illegaly I should go out and kill people since I got the gun now.
Even in world war-II both sides (Allies & Axis) had chemical weapons but neither side decided to use it.
Sad Tragedy !
by Soosan Khanoom on Wed Dec 05, 2012 07:55 AM PSTThe chemical weapon used have been given to Saddam by the west!
Thanks for posting this sad reminder!
Halabche: a big tragedy. Kurdish "government" of Iraq: a bigger
by Zendanian on Wed Dec 05, 2012 07:46 AM PSTTragedy than Halabce!
This autonomous government of Iraqi Kurdestan has been so corrupt, and so incompetent, that a few years back Kurdish people attacked and sackedHalabcheh Museum, to protest how this theiving Kurdish government is using that tragedy to fill its own pockets.
Many sources have also pointed to IR, also using chemical weapons in that battle, including the late Edward Said ( in an article published London Review of Books).
Who gave Chemical weapons to Saddam????
by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on Wed Dec 05, 2012 11:52 AM PSTI shocks me that we never get to the root cause of these crimes, the policies, the products that could never be delivered with out export licenses from the highest levels of "elected, free governments" Germany, USA, France, UK were involved in arming Saddam and never acted to prevent Iraq from using these weapons on Iranians.
And they want Human Rights for Iran today? They want Peace, Progress, Democracy, hmmmmmmmm, if that were remotely true would the west have deceived Iranians about the late Shah and used them to bring to power Extremists. Surely Peace, Human Rights and Progress towards Democracy were the Late Shahs crowning accomplishments.
