Former CIA officer Bruce Riedel wrote about an "official british report" which pushed for war with Iran. Cenk Uygur breaks down just how ridiculous this report is and how similar this is to the lead up to the war with Iraq.

by Reality-Bites on Sun Feb 19, 2012 07:57 AM PSTTo answer your question, I've always felt killing something to "death" is much more effective than killing it to "life"! But that's just me.
Reality-Bites....!?!?!??!
by Oon Yaroo on Sun Feb 19, 2012 07:35 AM PSTThe IRR Pahlevoon Panbeh will "kill" all Western invaders to "death!"
How do you like them phenomenon? Killing something to death!?

the mullahs don't give a crap about iran- fools who say otherwise are either too stupid or on their payroll!
let's pray there is no war, but that the mullahs are crushed from within very soon

@Abarmard
by cyrousg1 on Sat Feb 18, 2012 06:43 PM PSTIranians can't even fight their own stupid regime, but they'll manage to fight a great war against the western sheytan regimes. In 09 when Iranians tried to protest the farcical election results after a few days the regime sent in their thugs with batons and guns and that was it the Iranians were slapped back down but if Israel and America bomb the shit out of them all of a sudden they'll fight a hard war against "any stupid enemy moves". You're right this is reality so there's no place for romanticism just pray Iran isn't attacked becuase no matter how strategic bombs kill and injure indiscriminately.
This is the reality
by Abarmard on Sat Feb 18, 2012 03:46 PM PSTThankfully Iran is strong enough to make the West wonder a few times before thinking of an attack. That's good!
Iran needs to stay strong. We should not leave any possibility for the Western bastards to play a war game on our soil. Internally, we will take care of business but no freaking military game on Iran or you will suffer. Message needs to be clear to the Western leeches.
Iranians will fight a hard war against any stupid enemy moves.

by Bavafa on Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:03 AM PSTTill it becomes accepted reality and the US media along with its proxy’s with two-blog-a-day here on IC are exactly part of that strategy. Haven’t we seen numerous example of that:
And I concur with RB’s comment here.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Feb 18, 2012 09:59 AM PSTPosting in cap and yelling is of no help any more. Face it IRI blew it and now it is alone. No amount of bravado is going to help. What "Iran"you and I both realize Khomeini had no love for Iran.
The IRI tries whipping up nationalism whenever it is threatened. But as soon as the threat is gone they are back to their old ways. In fact they have not even stopped their old way! Dude the gig is up and at least I am not falling for it.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Feb 18, 2012 09:47 AM PSTAfter Iraq propaganda has got pretty ineffective. Besides if you read this:
//iranian.com/main/2012/feb/waiting-order
it does not need to cost that much. No need for an outright attack.
It is shameful that this guy look for truth and deviance and..

by Oon Yaroo on Sat Feb 18, 2012 09:18 AM PSTin removing the IRR regime is like asking them for half of their paycheck every month to pay for more welfare programs! It won't fly and its a nonstarter!
But, making them nervous (justifiably) about the potential dangers IRR (very highly likely) can bring upon everyone would make them to give you their entire monthly paycheck with no questions asked!
That's how propaganda works!
It has worked in the past, works now, and will work for ever!

by iraj khan on Sat Feb 18, 2012 07:54 AM PSTanother well informed American journalist who debunks the assupmtions of war mongers in U.S. media that is pushed down our throats by the Israeli Lobby.
The Israeli Lobby is using the same old formula that was used by Hitler to eliminate his opponents and it is as follow:
"If you repeat the same 'Lie' over and over again people eventually will believe it as 'The Truth'.
Good report, thanks for posting it here.
Here is another good report posted on IC today:

It's time for IRR to go...and whatever justification is needed..
by Oon Yaroo on Sat Feb 18, 2012 07:37 AM PSTthey will make!
The decisions have been already made! It is not a matter of if and but, but rather when which seems to be pretty soon like this year!
Iranians should spend their time and energy not in preventing an attack on IRR but rather worrying about the aftermath and how they can participate in rebuilding of what will be left behind...!?
You know...
by Reality-Bites on Sat Feb 18, 2012 03:50 PM PSTI detest the rule of the IR and believe they ARE intent on developing nukes. You'd have to be naive not to believe IR is after nukes eventually, despite the fact there is no hard evidence (yet) to the contrary, as this guy points out. But that's only a belief on my part, it is not hard evidence.
So, I'd have to agree with Uygur in his castigation of much of American media and hardline politicians in their distortion of news/intelligence/expert reports to drum up the shaky justification for military action.
What the West needs to do is keep pushing for IAEA inspectors to get inside Iran's nuclear facilities to find out what's going. And it should give full international support to the people of Iran in their struggle against the IR.
Launching military strikes against the IR will only play into the regime's hands. It will likely result in innocent people getting killed and many more people, who are otherwise anti-IR, getting behind the regime. And this is exactly what the IR wants.
My point

by پندارنیک on Sat Feb 18, 2012 04:49 AM PST.........What's exactly illegal (not to be confused with immoral) about hosting some members of Bin-Laden family?
Who cares about Osama's family
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Feb 18, 2012 04:35 AM PSTFred why worry about Osama as if it makes a difference. IRI has to go regardless of where they live. This kind of argument is putting focus on the wrong thing. Americans may be persuaded by it but not Iranians.
I think a better argument against IRI is its treatment of Iranians. The Islamic nature of the regime and its abuse of our national heritage. Not the nuclear thing or Osama. The more we focus on the wrong things the easier for IRI to dismiss it.
Some proof
