Iran sanctions "biting": CIA chief
Reuters - Iran is feeling the bite from economic sanctions imposed over its nuclear program, which is capable of producing a weapon although Iranian leaders have not yet decided to do so, top U.S. intelligence chiefs told Congress on Tuesday. "The sanctions have been biting much, much more literally in recent weeks than they have until this time," CIA Director David Petraeus said at a Senate intelligence committee hearing. "What we have to see now is how does that play out, what is the level of popular discontent inside Iran, does that influence the strategic decision-making of the Supreme Leader and the regime, keeping in mind that the regime's paramount goal in all that they do is their regime survival," he said >>>

کنگره آمريکا به دنبال تصويب طرحی در جهت جلوگيری از صدور ويزای آمريکا برای احمدی نژاد
به گزارش سرويس بين الملل انتخاب به نقل از رويترز، دستيار يکی از نمايندگان کنگره امريکا گفت: براساس اين طرح، تمام سرمايه محمود احمدی نژاد در امريکا مسدود می شود و همچنين از صدور ويزا برای ايشان خودداری می شود.
کميته ی بانکی سنا امريکا امروز پنج شنبه تصميم می گيرد که ايا اين تبصره هم جزئی از تحريم های اعمال شده بر روی ايران بشود يا خير.
اروپا و امريکا با اعمال تحريم های جديد، به دنبال جلوگيری از دستيابی ايران به درامدهای نفتی هستند.

Bluffs and half measures will get you as far as negotiations with IRI, ie nowhere. You can't remove religion from power with out destroying your own #1,2 &3 policy goals for Iran.
