CBS/AP - Iran's Supreme Leader warned Friday that any attack on the Islamic Republic would have negative consequences for the United States. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's rhetoric, which was forceful but familiar, came a day after U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta suggested Israel could strike Iran as soon as April if international sanctions remain insufficient impetus to coax Iran away from its clandestine nuclear work. "Threatening Iran and attacking Iran will harm America," Ayatollah Khamenei told worshipers in Tehran after Friday prayers >>>

It's obvious the I.R.I. leaders want a war!
by farrad02 on Mon Feb 06, 2012 12:30 AM PSTIn their analysis, a war is just what they need to get through their mountain of economic, political and social problems right now! Any military attack that leaves the current regime in power will indeed give it a big win and guarantees this regime another several decades in power!

The commander of Iran’s Armed Forces advised a U.S. aircraft carrier, which had left the Persian Gulf because of Iran’s naval war games, not to return to the sea, otherwise Iran will take action.
“We advise, recommend, and warn them that this aircraft carrier (should) not return to its previous place in the Persian Gulf, because we are not used to repeating a warning and give a warning only once,” Major General Ataollah Salehi said during the closing ceremony of the 10-day naval war games which was staged in a large area from the Strait of Hormuz to the Gulf of Aden. Well, that is like admitting you have molested a 350-lbs Football player's (America) child (Israel!)
Guess what? The Football player is going to come after you! You better apply some donbeh!
BTW, who would lose sleep if America/Israel struck IRR (e.g., an event like let's say around @ 0.28 in the clip!?)

Is there still any doubt that...
by Reality-Bites on Sat Feb 04, 2012 09:04 AM PST...the main blame for any potential conflict between US/Israel and Iran should be laid directly at the door of the Islamic Republic?
If so, take a look at the "Rahbar's" words here:
the Chief Molla states: "We have intervened in anti-Israel matters, and it brought victory in the 33-day war by Hezbollah against Israel in 2006, and in the 22-day war" between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip, he said.
//www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/feb/04/iran-military-manouveres-tensions
Not that I particularly care for Israel (and its mistreatment of Palestinians), but previously that state had no problems with and no hostile intentions towards Iran. But all the way through the past 33 years, the IRI has very openly declared its “marg bar Israel” stance, time and again. Officially sanctioned demonstrations, slogans of threat and annihilation of Israel and burning of Israel’s flag have become regular rituals by IRI’s supporters.
But more than that, the IRI has effectively been running a proxy war against Israel by funding and arming Hamas and the Lebanese Hezbollah in their intermittent conflicts with the state of Israel. The current president of the IRI constantly declares his wish to see Israeli regime “removed from history”. Only a couple of years ago or so Mr. Ahmadinejad branded Israel’s regime a “stinking corpse” and “on its way to annihilation”.
And now the "Rahbar" is very openly declaring what anyone with half brain already knew, that IRI has been directly running a proxy war against Israel. How much clearer does it have to get that the IRI is itching for a full scale conflict?
And yet some people are outraged to why Israel should want to strike back!
