no one is saying torture is good, or just.....but you have got ZERO proof that sabeti was involved in it....

second, animals like khoemini, khalkhali who signed the death warrants of teenage political prisoners by the thousands and sent 12 year old boys to blow up mines in a war which they deliberately prolonged- deserve all the hell that is coming to them

Who defended torture? Who denied torture?

You see the problem with you boys is that you rush to conclusions even before one can finish their sentence.  I wrote a comment earlier on that if you had understood what it meant you wouldn't have embarrased yourself like you have - never mind about Ghasem, since the battle of Kazeroon, he is used to being embarrased:). I said that there is always a break in the chain of command that allows plausible deniablity. No one can prove that Parviz Sabeti had any knowledge of or endorsed let alone ordered torture. Such dirty works were done by the "interrogators" who would not even bother to report the details of their ghastly activities to their chiefs.  

Parviz Sabeti was no Teymour Bakhtiar who had personally supervised the torture session of Karimpour Shirazi. This is why you boys, who know nothing except  what you have "read" but never "experienced" are not worthy of participating in any demcoratic process for the Iran of the future. As for me, I have it on record on this site that I have always condemned torture and any abuse of human rights.

Next time, try harder comrades :))

My fullest respect for Parvis Sabeti who is also the father of renowned Iranian biologist and geneticist Pardis Sabeti. I know some of Mr Sabeti's family very well and they are great folks.

Let see who was in Savak prisons:

1) Fenatic Islamists ( ie khamenei, rafsanjani, yazdi..etc )which are nothing but a whole bunch of murderers and terorists.

2) communists  which wanted to turn Iran to a popet soviet state and completely destroy capitalism ... we all know whatt happened to the soviet Union and all the other communist countries,

3) Mojahedeen  which are in europe and Americas list of international terrorists because of their actions.

 So one must say that the savak or the shah was light years ahead of everyone. they could see what backward people couldn't see back then!!! they knew the danger that all these groups posed to Iran and therefor needed to be contained! Just like the al-quaeda and other terroristic groups that are  being detained in the USA today.

پس از چند روز مأموری جلوی کلانتری قلهک کشته شد و سپهبد فرسیو را ترور کردند و در همین زمان، واقعه سیاهکل اتفاق افتاد. ساواک و ژاندارمری رفتند و آنها را کشتند و بازماندگان گروه سیاهکل متواری شدند. این گروه در تهران شروع به سرقت از بانک ها و تخریب کردند. شاه ما را احضار کرد.

مقام امنیتی در حضور شاه گفت:

ما به تنهایی نمی‌توانیم کاری بکنیم. در این شورا که تشکیل شده بود، ازهاری، اویسی، بنده و پالیزبان شرکت داشتیم. پس از مدتی مذاکره، تصمیم گرفته شد یک اجتماع سازمان نظامی تشکیل شود. ثابتی از طرف ساواک، سپهبد جعفری از طرف شهربانی و سپهبد محققی از طرف ژاندارمری، اعضای این تشکیلات شدند.
... شاه گفت که باید این اجتماع تشکیل شود و شما هر کس را که گرفتید باید تحویل ساواک بدهید. ولی آقای ثابتی هر کس را می‌گرفت خودش به تنهایی عمل می‌کرد. من ناراحت شدم و با او همکاری نکردم و گفتم که ساواک شش هزار عضو فقط در تهران دارد، خودش به تنهایی عمل کند.

شبی در چهار نقطه تهران بمب گذاری شد. فردا هویدا تلفن کرد که باید بیایید جلسه. فردوست و هدایتی هم آنجا بودند. جلسه تشکیل شد و هویدا گفت، که شاه از این بابت ناراحت است، شما چرا همکاری نمی‌کنید.

ما می‌دانستیم که بمب ها را ساواک منفجر می‌کند تا وانمود نماید که در شهر خرابکاری می‌شود و باید همه نیروهای انتظامی با ساواک همکاری کنند.

شخصی به نام «جهان شب ژرفی» که بمب ساز ساواک بود و بمب ها را می‌ساخت، خود در حادثه بمب گذاری کشته شد و این واقعیت را که ساواک عامل بمب گذاری بود، ثابت می‌کند.

من حاضر شدم دو افسر و ۳۰ پاسبان در اختیار کمیته بگذارم و همین کار را هم کردم، اما باز متوجه شدیم که ثابتی به تنهایی عمل می‌کند و خودش با افرادش به خانه ای در نیروی هوایی حمله کرده و چند نفر را کشته و دستگیر کرده، ما ناچار تصمیم گرفتیم از کارهای او و مکالمات تلفنی اش اطلاعاتی حاصل کنیم. 

سرهنگ مخفی، افسر اطلاعاتی را احضار کردم و به کمک تلفن چی شهربانی، از داخل دیوار سیمی به تلفن ثابتی کشیدیم و از مکالماتش نوار برداشتیم. در آن نوار ثابتی از مردم، زمین و پول و فرش می‌خواست. من آن نوار را پیاده کردم و به شاه دادم. شاه وقتی ماجرا را فهمید، گفت: او چقدر طمع دارد. نوار را به فردوست داد و گفت: تذکراتی به ساواک داده شود. ما دیگر نفهمیدیم که فردوست تذکر داد یا نه

For the record: Fardost had all Sabeti's phone calls under

surveillance, in his capacity as the head of Rokn 2 and the Royal Office of Inspection (Bazresi), in response to all the complaints against Sabeti.

Keep in mind that all these complaints was made against Sabeti  by other Pahalavi officials, and not the opponents of shah. This is a fact acknowledged by Sabeti himself.

The phone calls revealed all the theft and corruption Sabeti was involved in. Consequently Fardost handed the report to shah with the documentation of all the theft and other matters, but shah,- for whatever reason-, refused to take any action against Sabeti.

History is a terrible thing to waste!

that after all the hell and destruction at the hands of an illiterate psychopath like khomeini, the usual suspects are still defending what happened!!!!!

no wonder iran is so screwed up- with 'hamvatans' like this, who needs traitors!!!

and for the record, mr sabeti is an honest patriot- he clearly states that there were problems and corruption- unlike the morons who have been destroying iran for 33 years- despite vast evidence of murder, lies, oppression, and every other sin in the book, they still claim they were sent by god to conquer quds!!!!

if only sabeti could have eliminated those 1300 loonies on his list, imagine no mass murder by khomeini, no iraq war, no mass exodus by 3 million iranians.....

at least the people in iran can watch this and learn the truth
