At the age of twelve he started playing the ney and learning its playing techniques in the prosenee of Mehdi Navai. A true Master

Ostaad Kassai is a true Master and The highest ranking flut player ever. He was one of the first to boycott IRI after the revolution and did not allow his music be played on radio. I heard from a friend who knows Mr. Kassai that those singers and musicians who continued to work with IRI were not welcomed in his house or be invited or present where ever he was.

He is currently under treatement for prostate cancer and resides in Esfahan. BeninTx

استادِ استادان،بزرگِ بزرگان،پیش گامِ پیشگامان،زیباْ خالقِ آثارِ بسیار شنیدنی در عالمِ موسیقی‌ اصیلِ ایرانی .

حضرتِ کسائی در بِداهه نوازی رو دست ندارند و شاگردانِ ایشان همین رو را در پیش گرفته اند و این چنین موفقّند.

دلمان پَر میزند برایِ دیدنِ دوباره ایشان.بهتر که دیگر به مانند تو کسی‌ نیست استادِ عزیز،بهتر که عاشقانِ آثارت کم باشند و شنوندگانت کمتر...کیست که تو را شناسد،شهناز را شناسد و همیشه شما را دربهارِ ذهنش تجّسم نکند ؟ کیست که عاشق شود و عشقش را به بادِ هوس سپارد و فراموشتان کند؟

خداوند ایشان و دیگر اساتیدِ بزرگ  موسیقی‌ ِ اصیلِ ایرانی را برایمان حفظ کند.
